I don't understand this. After an hour or so of using my computer, the D: drive always ends up in 100% for no clear reason. I basically just have games and some programs on there that shouldn't be running in the background, in fact, I can't find any D: drive files being accessed here.

What does Resource Monitor (the link at the bottom of the screenshot) say is using it?

Pretty much just lists C: drive files.

i assume you already tried crystaldiskinfo/mark and found no issues there
could be an OS issue. if it also ends up hanging your computer you could try removing the disk in question and try running the computer without it and to try the buggy disk on another computer if you have access to one

OK, I think I resolved the problem. Seems like Nvidia Geforce Experience kept trying to auto-optimise my games. I shut off as many features of Geforce as possible and the computer has been running for about 10 hours now without trying to access 100% of the D: drive. Still, I don't understand why it was just the D: drive, I have games installed on all three drives.

kek, nvidia is gonna burn out your ssd

Is D being used as a swap disk or virtual ram?
SSDs have limited read/write cycles, at-least HDDs usually give you the click-of-death before they finally fail.

How the fuck does that work?
This disk usage is insane no matter what kind of meme optimization I think of.

>Nvidia shadow play
>Just pulled off an amazing stunt? ShadowPlay’s DVR-style Instant Replay mode already recorded it! Just hit a hotkey to save the last 30 seconds of gameplay to your hard drive or share to YouTube or Facebook. It works as game recording software to manually record gameplay videos for as long as you want—all at up to 8K HDR at 30 frames per second* or up to 4K HDR at 60 frames per second. And ShadowPlay is hardware accelerated, so you can leave it running in the background without worrying about video capture impacting your performance.
Indeed, I never heard of this before. What the fuck
