So my gf has this Lenovo S7 Legion laptop (picrel) which currently has a black screen. One day it simply stopped working. It hasn’t been dropped once in almost three years. I searched and it seems the model is faulty but it isn’t the hardware. I basically tried everything it said, drain the battery, reboot the screen, disconnect the second screen, reinstall the graphic drivers, update fucking windows, reset the updates, etc., but nothing worked. Couldn’t even access the BIOS. I’ve done almost all I’ve found to troubleshoot software and now I’m reformatting this piece of shit. I used the second screen but now it went black and the laptop screen is also black. It’s been almost two hours and I’m thinking of rebooting it, but I am afraid to do so because I don’t want to mess up the W11 reinstall. How long do you think until it’s safe to reboot? What else can I do at this point other than just taking it to customer service?
Oh I forgot to add I did the short reformatting where it doesn’t wipe the disks
Ok I rebooted, it’s in W11 configuration screen now but still no image so it didn’t work. Should I go in?
Bump
