I am very friendly with a teacher at my campus and he told me he grew up reading old comics in a conversation we had. I suggested he should check out manga sometime and he said he would give it a try if I could provide him some. What manga would be suitable for an old man in his 50's? Preferably something light-hearted.
>>1500155Perhaps something by Jiro Taniguchi.
>>1500155Saihate no Paladin is good if he likes Tolkien
>>1500155Does he want something light hearted or are you just assuming? What kind of comics did he like? Adventure, superheroes?I imagine any kind of Seinen might be good for an old man (that isn't murder porn or edgy shit) but I guess if he wants some light hearted stuff, how about Yokohama Shopping Log?
>>1500155"old people" lmaoI'm 49, I'd recommend Nausicaa, Cowboy Bebop, and Ghost in the Shell. I'm also a teacher. Actually I'd recommend Cowboy Bebop to anyone whether anime, music, or manga. It's in my all time top two anime series. It's light hearted at times but has every facet of human experience in it.
>>1500155It depends on what comics he read, Charlie Brown and Batman are two very different things
>>1500155Some suggestions of the few anime that have actually managed to catch my attention are: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (if you have big balls), Sakura Cardcaptor, Little Witch Academia, Dr Stone, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (honestly that's the best suggestion desu), Howl's Moving Castle, and well, the classics like Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell. Oh, and if he wants something a bit more complex I would definitely recommend Steins;Gate.
