what are some efficient methods for practicing? i feel like i take too long solving pretty much every exercise. for context, i have a calc 1 exam in a week, so i'm solving lopithal, rate of change, optimization and asymptote related exercises.

Getting a PhD in math was the single biggest mistake of my life. What useless skills. No one, rightfully, respects it. All everyone says is "oh I hated math in school," and all the job prospects boil down to postgrad or reskilling (programming).
>>1500315Go into finance. Become a quant. 300k starting
>>1500318Needs substantial relearning and internships, I didn't even do the useful kind of math, ie computational.I'm salty because I've been lied to, math isn't as cool as OP's pic makes it out to be.
>>1500322totally unrelated to the OP, but I have a friend/neighbor who has been on a total math bender for the last week or so. He thinks hes found a more efficient way to calculate something. Would you be willing to talk with him over email to see if he is actually onto something? I tried listening but its way over my head. His email is johnny.lee.rap@gmail.comLmk if you plan on reaching out and I can text him to look for an email from you.
>>1500237I don't really know what to tell you, OP.I learnt calculus by doing the exercises from my high-school textbook.
>>1500251This one's nice, ty>>1500398Maybe how you approach each problem or practice session, because i feel like being good at it it's not only a matter if you do practice, but how you do it. That's where i feel my worst weak point is but can't pinpoint what's wrong
