I watch mostly anime and cartoons and many of them are old (480p-720p) but I also watch new stuff in 1080p.-On input/codecs I use direct3d11 (chat gpt recommended me DXVA 2.0 but that one dont allows me to set up many filters).- On video output use direct3d11 too.-I dont use any Deinterlace, tried yadif and yadifx2 but that slow the video performance for some reasson so I setup in auto-use deband and noise reduction filter specially to improve the old videos.-A bit of saturation too.-Setup my Upscale sw filter on lanczos (saw a video in youtube that recommends SyncR still no sure which one is better).-Dont use sharpen filter because makes some of my old videos looks weirdwhat else do you recommend? Asking here because cant find much info on the internet and the youtube videos are pretty old. Asked to CHATGPT too but it gives me different settings everytime I ask. Thanks
just use the default settings. any enhancements or filters you add on top of that are not the way the artists intended the movies to be viewed.also you don't need to use deinterlace unless you're watching old tv/dvd/vhs interlaced content, which isn't really produced anymore.
>>1509114also when people are ripping content to distribute online they usually already applied a deinterlace filter to it when they encoded it. if your video doesn't look like pic related then you don't need to deinterlace it
>>1509114My anime library its quite heterogenic dvdrips, bd rips, stream videos rip, etc. Also dont using a single source to download them. Some of them have clearly filters because after comparing with the netflix version the ones in my pc comes with more vibrant colors for example. But as I said some are new others are dvdrips that dont look quite well on modern monitors.>>1509115just a few of them have clear laces on it but the filters discribed on the thread manage to hide them quite well, just want to know if I can add something else to improve them
MPC-classic with Madvr
>>1509152tried that before and didnt like the results
