I deleted a partition on a hard drive while i was reinstalling windows from usb. i am here because it was an accident and not the intended hard drive. i forgot another drive was inserted and purged partitions from disk 1 instead of disk 0 - big oof. can anyone help me recover the partitions? what do? All I did was click partition for Windows and delete it then immediately sh1t brix when i realized it was the wrong disk. first time i have had this happen....le sigh

Idk, maybe try a recovery tool like Drilldown.

the first thing to do is to disconnect your hard disk to avoid lost it.
now I can't really tell how to do it in windows, guessing its a ntfs file system.

but it does not take you anywere.
Perhaps your best try is to use a third party utility, or look how to do it with linux, also try looking for undelete ntfs partition says you more.

don't plug it again until you are sure what are you going to do, any usage can modify the disk structure and really make it unrecoverable.And try to make an image of it. and try to work in the image instead of the disk.
