I'm trying to make some kind of smooth background tune that's easy on the ears. to start, i wanted to replicate the sounds of the melody of this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mflsR8RkV9Ii'm new to this stuff, i just read a few things about music theory. to me it sounds like some kind of electronic/lofi flute.if i had single notes i could try load them up in fl studio and try to replicate the waveform but they seems like chords with multiple notes and there is also some bass loop that makes it even harder.I tried with the serum plugin to mix up some waves but it's pretty hard to not have ear piercing sounds on the higher notes. any tips/guides to get closer to what i want?
try ts-audiotomidi, import midi in vst plugin in fruityloops, edit notes to remove what you want,
>>1510501As far as I know, unless you figured out the exact synth they used on the soundtrack and bought it off of eBay or something, the only way to replicate the sound would be to be a sound design god. Although I did find this soundfont and it has a pretty similar sounding sound and a bunch of other good ones that you might likehttps://musical-artifacts.com/artifacts/2913It's under CHORUS 9.sf2
>>1510516tried something similar but the result is a bit of a mess, extracting a single note might be doable though.>>1510517thanks i'll look into it. meanwhile i found this https://forum.image-line.com/viewtopic.php?t=226301 i couldn't find exactly what i need but there is a bunch of neat stuff. the 15000 presets link is in the waybackmachine btw
>>1510501It doesn't matter how good your hardware and software is if you have no idea about music theory and composing.
