I have a wood-burning stove in my house that I haven't used, instead using space heaters to keep warmIt's been cold here and I need to learn how to make a fire right.I've been using lots of wood pieces, charcoal, and lighter fluid, but almost caught my house on fire. Haha. Any tips from manly men out there?

>>1510553You can't just directly start fairly large chopped logs on fire. You need something smaller like sticks, newspaper, bark, wood chips or dry straw to ignite. Also its better to leave only one or tow large pieces of chopped wood to start, which is the opposite of what you are doing, it doesn't leave enough room for the air to circulate and a fire to catch. When the one or two chopped pieces start burning down, then you can add more with little chance of the fire dying out. Also what kind of shitty potato camera do you have?
