Have a refurbished dell precision 3560 laptop that I bought a few months ago. Works great, but I've been noticing lately a strange issue with the battery/charging. Every time I plug it in to charge, the charging light lights up, turns off for a second, then remains on while it charges. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to stay on the second its plugged in and only turn off when its fully charged or unplugged.
Another issue is that sometimes the laptop still thinks its charging after I've unplugged it; the charging light would stay on, or even the battery icon on screen would have the charging one, sometimes going away if I plugged it in. If it doesn't, I have to turn the computer on and off and it goes back to normal.
Is my battery/charger fucking up? Is it my computer itself? I've tried pulling out a screw driver to pop open the back and look inside, but one of the screws refuses to come off and I can't get a good grip on it. I'm not sure what to do, I don't even know if there's any repair shops around my area.

Take the battery out and clean the contacts, grab a multimeter and figure out online which pins do what.
Try to test each cell, they should be at around the same voltage.
One of the cells could be low and/or dies faster than the rest, and this can confuse the charger and cause unexpected shutdowns.

One of my DeWalt chargers does that, IF a battery is already fully charged then the capacitor in the charger keeps the device on and ready for a few seconds.

I can't take the battery out, one of the screws is stuck
