How do I convince my boomer parents that it's not a good idea to sell everything we have to buy a McMansion right now? I think I'm on the verge of losing literally everything in my life if this goes through. We have a comfy life but they, like most boomers, are trying to throw it away for fun, completely oblivious to the current economy. They don't even know that property taxes and stuff like heating for a McMansion are gonna be a massive increase in monthly expenses we can't afford.

Some of their friends showing off their new house? You should point out some youtube videos on new home inspections and how new homes have so many problems. There are home builder chains (think of McD or Burger King but they build and sell homes instead).
