Alex entered the office elevator as he had done countless times before. But this time, as the doors closed and the elevator began its ascent, a violent shudder knocked him off his feet. The lights flickered, and the elevator plummeted. Just as suddenly, it halted, and the doors opened to reveal a disorienting sight.

Alex stepped out into a vast, yellowed expanse of endless, dimly lit corridors. The air was stale, filled with the hum of flickering fluorescent lights. He called out, but his voice echoed back, unanswered. He tried to return to the elevator, but it had vanished, replaced by more of the same monotonous hallways.

Hours passed as Alex wandered, each turn leading to identical walls and the same damp, musty carpet. He marked his path with a pen, but the corridors seemed to shift, his marks disappearing or leading him back to where he started. His sense of time dissolved, hunger and thirst gnawing at him.

In his search, Alex discovered rooms filled with decaying furniture and piles of nonsensical papers. The oppressive silence was occasionally broken by distant, indiscernible noises that made his skin crawl. He found a half-empty water bottle and stale snacks, remnants of others who had been trapped here before him.

Desperation clawed at his sanity. One day, Alex stumbled upon a room with a dusty computer. Desperate for answers, he powered it on. The screen flickered to life, displaying a command prompt. He typed, "Hello?"

The response chilled him to the bone: "Welcome to the Backrooms."

"How do I get out?" he typed.

"Find the exits. Beware the sounds. Trust your instincts."

The computer went dark, leaving Alex alone with his thoughts. He pressed on, now acutely aware of every flicker of light and distant sound. He followed anomalies, guided by his instincts.

One of the tell tale signs of a reptilian is their penchant to shart and splash and pass gas while defacating. No human could make those noises. You will know when a reptillian is in the stall next you. The grunting, sharting and shouting is always a dead giveaway because they eat so much more than us.

If this happens to you, flee immediately

I'm really curious about the backrooms.

Can computers exist in the backrooms?
