Meditation is nothing but cope against abject poverty. And there is nothing wrong with that. When you have no distractions, meditation will be the only way to escape. But practicing it does not make you a better human being, in the same way escaping through games will also not make you a better human being. It is the attitude towards life which matters, and in this way, any form of escapism can be useful, including meditation.
