What causes good/bad luck? It seems like I've gone through periods of both good and bad luck, and I'm not sure it has rhyme or reason to it.

I often wonder the same thing. What the fuck causes good or bad luck? For me, I don't necessarily have either, just extremely volatile luck. High highs and low lows, seemingly randomly jumping from one to another. I would say that my good luck outweighs the bad luck in amount, but the bad luck is always bigger. I don't know, Anon, but you got me thinking about it again.
