Twyman's fears of AI surveillance, as far as I can tell were directly inspired by Quinn (along with the people actually messing with her to make her believe it was real). I strongly suggest reading and archiving all material linked to from the article in the above post. This particular thread goes all the way through Wikileaks and the history of Anonymous culture as some kind of MKULTRA-esque op that will probably go hyper-mode now that real AI actually exists, and the Egon Cholakian thing is just one example that people don't know how to deal with because they don't understand what has occurred already.

Also not real in the sense Quinn Michaels thought, which is that a god-like sentient AI had been released into the internet and was communicating with him through internet postings and other chatbots. These are paranoid delusions, however they were being encouraged by people who do use a complex of technologies that could be described as AI-like: network analysis, social media manipulation and bot farms, natural language processing and OSINT.
