Non-being is not, because it doesn't merely exist.Things like right equilateral triangles are contradictions in themselves, which is why they don't exist. However Non-being doesn't contradict itself, just as Being doesn't contradict itself.

But it's difficult to see because it's so subtle.Basically because non-being cannot be referenced as a concept unto itself, it requires a negation of another concept (i.e. the negation of "being").If you accept that negation as a thing unto itself then you will of course find no other contradictions, it will seem self consistent. But it's the self consistency of a concept which doesn't actually exist at all, because even you do not posses a concept of "non-being" that is a concept unto itself, without relying on a negation that cannot truly be done. Because nothing can ever _be_ in a state of non-being, therefore non-being is a state that can never be known. And therefore no concept truly exists for non-being.It's purely an artifact of language. It seems to be a real concept because you can string those words together, but that doesn't give it any actual meaning.In other words, if we were having this conversation in the true language of reality you would absolutely be unable to express any concept like non-being... So actually we wouldn't be able to have this conversation at all in the language of true reality, because you wouldn't even be able to introduce the idea. Because there is no idea there to be introduced.
