Copying this link over from the last thread because it's excellenthttp://rarehalloweenvideos.blogspot.com/
>>38938165I watched this this afternoon.
>>38938165Choosing not to make Halloween an anthology series with unrelated stories each year was a mistake. Could have been a GOATed franchise.
>>38938395It is a good franchise already. Some are stronger than others. And Resurrection doesn't exist afaic.
>>38938395yeah they blew it, a "Halloween" movie should have been released every October and been something new and fresh every year, not just endless rehashes of zombie Michael Myers killing people, but now in NYC, and now in space, and now etc etc
>>38937846>previous thread randomly got archived"Randomly."
>>38938395>>38938819Not profitable. The only mainstream horror anthology series with more than a couple entries is V/H/S IIRC. And that has the benefit of not being tied to Halloween, specifically. Thoughever, one can easily see just how many Halloween sequels are trying their hardest to be a different movie all their own, with Michael Myers being haphazardly shoved inside. Like how my cock was shoved in your mom last night. From pagan conspiracies, to mysterious cults, to Busta Rhymes, to Jamie Lee Curtis's rotten old yogurt commercial ass coming back, twice, to some retard named Corey. The list goes on. Michael's just got the franchise like a crocodile in a death roll. Truly, you can't kill the Boogeyman.
It is finally October 1st.Time to get spooky.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AfjqL0vaBYU&pp=ygUVc2NyZWFtIGZvcnRyZXNzIHRoZW1l

Awe yes, good to see the Halloween General has not changed now that’s it’s Oct. 1st.
>>38937846>>Happy Halloween /x/This is a great drive, is the creator active at all? It looks like the books section hasn't been updated in years but I have some pdfs I could contribute
>>38943977Too many double digit IQ anons for a proper, comfy threads anymore. r/Halloween is better than /hal/ now (although admittedly you can't say anything about how black "people" will ruin trick-or-treat if they show up in your neighborhood).
>>38944158Well, /hal/ has morons arguing about AI garbage and r/Halloween has 19-year-olds asking if they're too old to trick-or-treat, so it does seem that both places have overgrown left side of of the bell curve troglodytes posting.
>>38944139>you can't say anything about how black "people" will ruin trick-or-treatI love how this is considered such vital commentary. I don't entirely disagree with the sentiment, but man. You guys are really just a sad bunch of losers.
So... there's 2 Halloween thread up right now, which one will stay?
>>38944547the other one seems more civil, but this one seems more active. always the same old story.
>>38944567I'll stick with civilisation then, and we'll see what happens.
>>38944617it just died :(
>>38944634Just my luck, should have seen it coming.Hopefully, this one will get back on track before long . . . or am I jinxing myself again?
>>38944652I think it's fine. The monkeys throwing crap just need to get swept along every now and again.
>>38938165>>38938266Seeing it for the first time later in the month, can't remember where it is on the list. Doing Nightmare Before Christmas tonight because Oogie Boogie's actor died yesterday. I usually save that for the 31st as a transition into Christmas season.
>>38939400There really isn't anything to Michael as a character, and that was by design. Baffling concept to make a recurring thing.
>>38944891Welp...they certainly tried.
>>38944891>>38944935They kept trying to introduce new elements to explain why Michael would keep coming back, and each one was goofier than the last. I'll definitely say one thing, though. Halloween 4 had the ridiculous "Michael has a little niece he has a telepathic connection to" thing going on, but it also had the best spooky autumn vibes of the entire franchise.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m24E4MMDlTc

>>38946019Burton's back, baby. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
>>38946032Is it really any good? I heard mixed thing. I've been meaning to watch The Corpse Bride and Frankenweenie for a while now. A friend of mine said I should after he heard me complain Tim Burton doesn't make Time Burton movies anymore.

Here's a nice changing picture I made for Halloween. I call it a Haunticular~
youtube.com/embed/7kK8abqFO50
>>38946067BB is a return to form. It has too many plotlines going on at once but that's the only issue and it's fun anyway. Corpse Bride is worth a watch. It's definitely a decline for him but it's kind of like a notably less charming spiritual successor to TNBC, which still has something to it. The more I think about, the more I'm just bleh on it, this is a terrible pitch but I still say give it a go.

one of my favorite things to watch around october is the failed pilot for a Dracula and family in New York City TV serieshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hRp_aTEPjU
Pic related was surprisingly good. When it was announced I wrote it off as trash, but it's actually pretty decent and stacks up well with the original. It does the same legacy sequel/prequel thing that a lot of franchises have been doing where it's basically a remix of the original film, but it does that well. I was consistently surprised by the kills and the lead does a really good acting job. Only real complaint is an extremely pointless epilogue tying the story to the first movie that seems to have been inserted for the benefit of morons. I was like "Yeah, no, we get it. The baby is Damian. Oh you're going to look directly at the camera and say it. Ok. Knew that an hour and a half ago. But thank you."
>>38946188 (heil'd)I honestly and sincerely thought instead of "nobody" as per usual, it would say, "a faggot". I was disappointed.>>38948030Kinda. I'm a student, what's up

I honestly hated Halloween 3 the first time I saw it, my younger self was stupid and thought muh Michael Meyers was the shit. Rewatching as an adult and it's pretty fucking fantastic.

>>38952117>>38952447It's one of those things that's fun to think about, but probably doesn't connect to anything "real". That's fortune cookie nonsense. I don't mean to put you down for entertaining the idea, I'm just careful not to stray too far into my own intuitive assumptions about things. Ambiguity is a powerful drug. I probably believe more "out there" stuff than 90% of people, so I'm aware of my own proclivity for the mystical. I am therefore mindful that I don't stray too far into that kind of thinking, at least outside of a controlled environment. Here's my take on ghost hunting, for example>>38775429
>>38951879Some people create "mood tables" for Halloween. I've seen a bunch of photos of these on X/Twitter.

>>38951131i assumed everyone in these threads did that
>>38954194I agree, but I do think the mood table is a cool option for people without a lot of space.
>>38949624Not in the slightest. That would be some foul work. I've had to do some dissection recently, and that's enough for me when it comes to cadaverous butchery. A medical procedure to keep someone alive has a whole different vibe to it.Plus I'm pretttyyy sure the Frakenstein monster thing wouldn't work anyway because once a cell reaches cell death, I'm not sure if there's anything you can do about that, generally. Look at the necrosis of frostbite or animal venom, that black tissue is cut away so that living tissue can regenerate or be transplanted. Nobody shocks a blackened arm back to life lolI'm just a student though, so there probably a ton of stuff I don't know about>>38949696'Vampire Hunter Pee: Buttlust'
>>38952839>I probably believe more "out there" stuff than 90% of people, so I'm aware of my own proclivity for the mystical. I am therefore mindful that I don't stray too far into that kind of thinking, at least outside of a controlled environment. NTA - but I can affirm it's a difficult balance. I'm not an adherent of organized faith, but synchronicity, for whatever reason, tends to emerge in times I find myself most vulnerable - i.e, outside the boundaries of a controlled environment. And, in those vulnerable times, I tend to indulge in spiritual thought to the extent I begin to question what is and isn't "real."
