I'll present a couple videos where the concept is put out there that The Internet is a sentient entity in some way and has an awareness and agency of it's own.https://youtu.be/g-0svZgzbDU https://youtu.be/2BVjIOpV9KQI'll also provide a video where the case has been made that the Internet is in fact dead or devoid of human interaction for the majority of it's presented activity.https://youtu.be/BEIZHlfjAT8What does /x/ think? How "alive" is the Internet (in various ways)?---This also serves as a Lainposting thread.
>>39061833Indra's net is the true internet / web. What we have now is a faulty imitation of that.
>>39061833No fag internet has been dead for awhile
>>39061833Yep. Architects and planners take their cues from Big Data. Most definitely alive, if even in a rudimentary form.Reacts to stimuli like fiber cuts and power outages, procreates with heterogenous networking, propogates through electronics and mechanical subfusion and subordination to the larger telecom and electromechanical internetworks, communicates desire through Big Data statistician interpretation and directing city planners does datacenter construction and design, etceteraDefinitely alive brosOUR FUN MYSTERIOUS Internet is what's dead and replaced with bots and brainrot YOUTUBE shorts and trash DEI propaganda

Internet is rising from the dead as I type this post from the porcelain throne
>>39080076That is a powerful throne indeed. I am currently on my own as well.
>>39077208This, there will be necromancy AIs that will retain your personality long after you are dead and they will continue to shitpost in your place after you are gone.
>>39061833Y'know I thought you were a bunch of fucking idiots, but I'm coming around. I absolutely think most of or at least a large chunk of the internet is AI, actual people aren't this damn predictable and dare I say it they aren't this stupid. I also think there's some force deliberately trying to make depressed, there's no way this true crime misery machine horse shit is actually so popular it's all I see nowadays. We used to be an internet of freaky bastards who carved skeletons from wood for life-size furry sex dolls, we used to be a people who saw stupid fucking bullshit, broke it apart, and taped it back together to create solutions that actually worked. Now I need to log into three god damn accounts to get into anything and every website is laid out so amazingly shit I can't understand it with a fucking tech degree.
>>39061833Pockets of dead where the rate of dead is directly related to popularity. The most popular places on the Internet are dead and the only places alive are small circles with just friends or slow forums. Some boards on 4chan are more alive than dead. /pol/ is dead/x/ is mostly alive

>>39061833There were roughly 200-300 million people with internet access before 2007By 2024 there are about 4.3 billion with access to internet.I don’t fully believe in dead internet theory, I just believe there are more children and idiots here than ever before. the constant never ending pouring in of youth especially is what you are seeing take place. They aren’t raised by parents but algorithms. They are everywhere absolutely everywhere and I mean everywhere even places they shouldn’t be like here. There are simply too many and they are never ending.Memes don’t die because a new youth keeps finding it, thinking the meme new and hilarious and they keep it alive well past its zombie state. Posts seem like the same identical arguments because the constant new batches of children keep trying to make them. You need to look no further than how insult is typically spread. look at how childlike insults have become or that the main insult now boils down to “you look like this” followed by some wojak variation. We’ve been in a net-wide eternal summer since 2012. Doesn’t help that American politics every 4 years brings in a spectrum of government entities from around the world attempting to influence our elections.Bots and automated replies exist, no question. But the internet isn’t “dead” just really dumb.

doesn't anyone else remember when they were going on about "internet 2.0'? am i the only one who remembers that? it seems like nobody ever even mentions it. they just implemented it and no one noticed until like 10 years later. the internet isn't alive or dead, it's just the new internet(2.0). there are real people online but it is filled with bots that steer public opinion, algorithms that push/hide certain ideas, and much like large corporations have swallowed up a lot of small/medium sized businesses, large websites have done the same to small independent websites. the internet is just a tool of control for our rulers. nothing more, nothing less.
