Is revenge good for your soul?
>>39132007>revengerevenge quite often ends up being misplaced then you really look like an ass
>>39132007No but forgiveness is. It increases brain activity
>>39132048Lame shit.>>39132007Revenge is great if you have the balls to do it. Shed that grief and rage with vengeance. Fuck them.
>>39132007when it's served cold and a higher force is guiding you. just up and doing something in the heat of the moment can be fun, but can make shit really complicated.you kinda gotta let it marinade for a while, then dish it out when they least expect.
>>39132058>Revenge is great if you have the balls to do it. Shed that grief and rage with vengeance. Fuck them. You only fuck yourself
>>39132100Says you
>>39132007Only if the intention is to teach someone an honest life lesson through experiential reciprocity.
Yes, people who say you need to forgive to get over something because it still gives them power over you are stupid.
>>39132007On the path of revenge make sure to dig 2 graves, one for your enemy and one for yourself.
"No please don't revenge. Forgive and forget, only. Make sure to forget."-Sociopath
>>39132110>says Jesus
>>39132185This.
You don’t forgive for others. You do it for yourself. Don’t let pursuit of revenge distract you from your important goals
>>39132123>Only if the intention is to teach someone an honest life lesson through experiential reciprocity.nice digits. true facts. but one may phrase it as, "fuck you asshole, turnabout is fair play, how do you like it when someone you stomped on hits you back where it hurts??"they tend to learn after that. well, kinda. they learn half a lesson. they learn "don't fuck with anon, they got teeth and claws". but they don't ever seem to grasp the concept of fundamentally changing one's behavior from the bottom-up. guess that takes too much effort, and self-reflection is too difficult.people are often just dumb beasts that only learn through pavlovian conditioning.>fuck with anon>anon fucks you over>fuck with someone else instead>GSDTX
>>39132191That doesn’t make it any less stupid.Exponentially moreso, in fact.
If vengeance were unhealthy there would be no restitution for victims through systems of law.“Oh, he defrauded you? Get over it, bro. lol.”
>>39132058Reddit spacing and child psychology
>>39132212the point of legal restitution is not to soothe individual's feelings, it's to discourage destructive behavior to prevent society from falling apart due to damage and distrust.
>>39132202Jesus was a really cool guy and I really don’t like most Christians
>>39132007The desire for revenge is the projection of evil the wrongdoer imposes on the one affected. It's completely up to you I'm not the in that situation but it's better to let their evil leave you and circle back to them so if you must raise your sword in the name of revenge you can do so on righteous terms. Just remember the desire for revenge is not you but a psychological projection the evil one has imposed on you, let go of that desire and they will be destroyed by their own curse.
I definitely would word it as getting justice in my case. I'm healing and letting my cards play out. Taking my time.
>>39132289That is one point, but not the entire. If rape were something that were immediately gotten over, then there would be little point in increasing the severity of the punishment with the scale of the crime. That’s one of the reasons why it’s “justice for the victim”.Dipshit.
>>39132311Does he afraid of anything?
>>39132007a serious response:revenge is very tempting, and as reality is scripted and there's fate and mandatory events, sometimes someone is scripted to hurt you really really bad, and the wound burns for decades and eats your mind every day.sometimes vengeance isn't attainable because the aggressor is where you can't hit them, or you just lack the power. but karma is very real, and so are multiple Gods and smaller invisible forces at work. all debts will be balanced out eventually, it goes both ways. sometimes years later, the wrongdoer gets their Mars Return and a big fat steaming dump of punishment gets dumped on them like a heap of bricks.sometimes the Gods will give you a little hand and guidance, always a big fun blast!so it's important to simmer and keep your head down. yeah the wounds hurt. but eventually those will get cleared up on judgment day.that's why wise people tell you to let Gods handle vengeance. they know more things than we do. they're higher up, they're in admin positions. we're just little rock-throwing monkeys yelling at each other down here, we don't know all the stuff at play. if we seek vengeance, we can easily cause enormous problems that were better avoided in the first place. when you let the grudge simmer, their neg karma ticks more into the red while they're not atoning or trying to make up. that simmering little dish of bad karma will become like a big tank full of nasty stuff, ready to splash all over them.

>>39132007No. It's terrible, but much like cigarettes or alcohol, people do it anyway. Because it's fun.
>>39132321Based
>>39132202stop spacing your posts like a fucking faggot. go back
>>39132369Wise words anon
>>39132007It is if it paved the way for ten others to live free from tyranny.Remember we didnt ask Germany nicely to fuck off out of our country. Vengeance has its time and place when executed with proportionality wisdom and compassion. Every grief inflicted will bounce into the future. With that in mind you can set a record straight, teach scum below your stature a lesson and heal yourself from the wound of failing to act.
>>39133677>reeeee stop spacingBeen here longer than you. If that’s a legitimate fixation of yours then you’re a salty nigger and need to kill yourself immediately.
>>39132007Yeah. In the Hávamál, Odin himself says that getting revenge on someone who screwed you over is the honourable thing to do. My source? The Hávamál. It's only 164 quatrains long so it shouldn't take you too long to fact-check my claim.
good as long as it remains funny and satisfying. but like if it's like some stupid teenager minds... you probably revenge on their enablers. universe prolly appreciates some jokes here and there.
>>39132179Well that's fucking stupid. If I'm going to get revenge, there's gonna be plenty of more graves than just two.
>>39132007>Is revenge good for your soul?fuck no the end of revenge is sadness
REVENGE is a form of JUSTICEJUSTICE is a form of RIGHTEOUSNESSRIGHTEOUSNESS is a form of VIRTUEODYSSEUS DID NOT FORGIVE THE SUITORSHE DID NOT ACCEPT THEIR RECOMPENSE HE DID NOT EVEN ENTERTAIN THEIR PLEAS FOR MERCYKING ODYSSEUS OF ITHAKA SLEW THEM TO A MAN
>>39132007Vengeance is the only way to restore your honor after it has been insulted. If your honor is damaged, you will become corrupted and vile. Vengeance is a spiritual necessity, trumped only by forgiveness. But true forgiveness is actually really really hard, and most people are incapable of it. So vengeance is probably your best bet.
>>39132369>karma is very realLMAO
>>39132007Revenge is bad for those who suffer it.Revenge is good for those who do it.
>>39132007It's good for the heart not the soul
