Why is time going so fast? It's legitimately starting to scare me.

Since about 1892 the earth and the solar system has entered an area of the solar system with different electrogravitic spacetime conditions resulting in shorter experience of time as we traverse deeper into this "dense" space. People say time flies faster as you get older it's technically true but only because of how our solar systems path through space. Before 1892 this wasn't true.

Apologies, had to search to find it.
Matthew 24:21 and 24:22

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

You're getting old. A day or a year is now less in proportion to the life lived so far. I would like to believe it's Ascension / converging timelines / something magical though.

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day.
You fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way.
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town.
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way.
Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain.
And you are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking.
Racing around to come up behind you again.
Sun is the same, in a relative way, but you're older.
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.
Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time.
Plans that either come to naught, or half a page of scribbled lines.
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way.
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say.

It's just a matter of Perspective, Especially that we're now older and not younger and we happen to appear with the era of Social media, It's easier for time to pass fast since most of our time is gone through social media and don't forget post-covid era.

Nothing to worry about, It's just you're wasting your time, Time will remain what it is like, You will die and someone will be born and will experience life and will die too, Time will remain unchanged, Nor slow nor fast, It will just remain there until the inevitable death of space.

For now quit social media and exist within the world and do anything that seems absurd, Rebel against the world for you might die tomorrow.

I can only think about 3 theories why this became a more common thought;
First
The 2000s to 2010s had a lot of things being made that had a lot of spirit put into it even though some may argue that it was tacky and jarring is undeniable that in matters of how life change for the people that saw the start of the internet that could barely navigate to being able to play on-line was a experience
Second
After 2020 and the pandemic people changed how they looked a life like they got a glimpse at a lovecraftian horror that they can barely remember and we have yet to come to terms to this and if we are unable to this notion that is not fully understood will still take space in our unconscious
Third
The modern life is killing the wonder and whimsy in everyone without new arts and ideas everyone is becoming more stale and soon we will have more and more people with dementia by the time they are on their early 60s, think about how more common arts reflecting on this feeling of the memories of the past withering and haunting you have become

Probably all three are a little bit right there a ways to remedy this but it's becoming harder and harder to fight this new reality and for the next 3 to 6 years things might get worst

>>39136577
YES this is a good example of the first theory i believe you might share the same opinion of this video

Time shortening was prophesied by Jesus Christ as a sign of the end.

Matthew 24:22

“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.”
>>
>>39136510
Read Schopenhauer. He posited that as we grow older, any arbitrary unit of time (minute, hour, etc.) becomes subjectively an ever smaller fraction of our experience, thus making the time seemingly flow faster. There is a logic in that reasoning, not gonna lie.

Go back to plebbit with that midwit normie take
Time is logarithmic not linear. Which is why 40,000 BC men would live like 900 years.
Also, in conjunction with expanding Earth. Which explains "continental drift", homo sapiens migration, and extremely large animal bones, and giant humans of old.
The unit of time of the second is now a fraction faster than it used to be.
The human body clock is suited to a 25 hour day rather than 24 which is why you always want to stay up and extra hour and never get a full rest.

There's an idea out there about system 1 and system 2 thinking, where 1 is your automatic "second nature" thinking you use when doing something habitually (washing dishes, driving your car), where 2 is more concentrated and effortful thought (learning something new, navigating a new space). System 1 stuff is easy, second nature. Our bodies and minds naturally push us towards these activities in an effort to conserve resources (and they just feel good in general). System 2 thought is often frustrating and not as "satisfying".
As we age, more and more of our lives are "built in" system 1 thinking. Getting ready for work, going to work, driving, dishes, sweeping, etc, where when we were all younger, our days were basically all system 1. Here, let's introduce novelty.

Reservoir dogs comes to mind, where most of the movie happens in a single setting. To me it wasn't a satisfying movie, short and cramped. Compare that to Lord of the Rings, which while a long movie, feels much longer and novel with the constant changes of setting. Novelty has a quality of slowing down the perception of time, and having a day where many novel events happen tend to feel much longer. Ever gone on a long trip somewhere new, and there's a realization of "wow, I can't believe I started this journey this morning, waking up feels so long ago"? I believe the opposite is also true. "The days are flying by" indicated a lack of TRUE novelty in your life.
>>
>>39144318
I had to think about what true novelty is. We are surrounded by false "consumptive" novelty through social media and empty entertainment tv shows/movies. Consumptive novelty would be akin to system 1 novelty-- No effort in achieving it, therefore it only adds to the hastening of days.
Productive novelty is more in line with system 2 thinking, where you need to be actively engaged in the efforts. Video games, I don't think, are a good example of this, since most seem to only get satisfying as you improve at them and put more of the actions into system 1 thinking. In a similar vein, reading a book seems consumptive, but the product is the change in your mind from exposure to new ideas.
So, I guess there's "grades" of consumption vs production of novelty. A challenging book is more productive than a romance novel.

To me, this is the ultimate goal of the dopamine detox/nofap/noporn advice thrown around so much-- to remove us from the cycle of isolating and feeding fleshly appetites and replacing it with the harder, but more satisfying creation drive that brings us into the path that the world wants us to go. Otherwise, we're just parasites living off the creation of others.

Biblically, Job gives us another perspective, that the speeding up of days is a result of spiritual desolation
Job 7:6 My days are swifter than the weaver's shuttle, and are spent without hope.
Job 9:25-26 Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away, they see no good. They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle that hasteneth to the prey.
I believe stagnation, the misuse of this gift of life to not consciously expand one's self spiritually through mindful creation, is rewarded with your days becoming fleeting.
>>
>>39136510
yeah if I can barely do the stuff I want to do on a day because every hour pass by like in 20 real minutes, and I'm a neet. Imagine the green paper slaves that are working like 12 hours, and sleeping 8 with two miserable "hours" to enjoy...
>>
>>39144346
I'm a neet now but before I got fired I was going crazy with how my free time after work was being stolen from me, yeah.
>>
>>39140815
you people should mention the whole context, not saying it's wrong, just annoying when preachers mention random verses without context:

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
>>
>>39144445
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Behold, I have told you before.

Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Time has significantly sped up since 2/22/2022.
And it's only going to get stranger as the economy goes into full meltdown, housing pops, food becomes less stable, more accidents, violence, homicides, suicides, and anger from society.
It's all culminating into a major event to take place in ~2025.
I am almost certain elements of the future are trying to stop this from happening but they can't stop it.
All you can do is brace your anus for the ride.
>>
>>39136510
This is good. It means soon enough it will be all over. We just have to endure a little longer and we will be able to be with Jesus Christ. I hope.
