When did the altar become part of the Church liturgy? None of the Bible says to sacrifice Jesus on an altar...
>>
Dunno, I'm trying to find the origins of "going to church" because in orthodox Christianity, there's literally nothing regarded as important as the HOLY liturgy. Many things are good, useful and saving, but in orthodox church they literally say the HOLY liturgy keeps the world going. The world is going to end when there will be no more HOLY liturgy.

"Church" is a descendant of the Pharisees and religious authorities who had Jesus put to death.

All the organized Churches are Mystery Babylonian syncretic religions mixed with Christianity.

>When did the altar become part of the Church liturgy?
From the start. Altar means sacrificial table.
>None of the Bible says to sacrifice Jesus on an altar
"And after taking the bread He gave thanks, and broke it, and gave it to them, saying: "This is my body, which is given up for you: do this in remembrance of Me..."
This is the sacrifice of the Church, a renewal of the sacrifice of the Cross. St. Paul talks about it when forbidding Christians from participating to pagan liturgies:
"The chalice of blessing, that we bless, is it not the sharing of Christ's blood? and the bread that we break, is it not the participation of Christ's body?... But what the pagan nations sacrifice, they sacrifice it to demons, and not to God. So I do not wish you to become fellows of demons: you cannot drink the chalice of the Lord, and the chalice of demons; you cannot participate to the table of the Lord, and to the tables of demons."
The tables of demons are their altars, where animals were slaughtered and eaten (as also in the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem under the old Testament). The table of the Lord is His altar, where the bloodless sacrifice of the Mass happens.
The altar in your picture looks like a sarcophagus instead of a table, because the ancient Christians used to celebrate Mass on the tombs of martyrs, in catacombs, alluding to the words of St. John: "And when he opened the fifth seal, under the altar I saw the souls of those slain for the Word of God, and for he Lamb".

> I'm trying to find the origins of "going to church"
The faithful have always gathered regularly to pray (and offer sacrifice). For example, when Jesus appears to the Apostles, minus Thomas, in the locked dining room, it's Sunday. When He appears again to them all, including Thomas, it's for the Sunday after that. The Apostles then established this as a custom for the whole Church.

Altars were used in Israel to offer animals for the atonement of sins. It's like you guys never read the Bible. Jesus is symbolically the lamb of God who takes away thr sins of the world. Church has history in the temples that the israelites would attend to and gather to hear the rabbi talk about scripture from the OT and such things.

Just read the Bible!

What am I wrong about? You guys just spout bullshit with no understanding of the things you're arguing against. Educate yourself.

No matter what they say. It's a book, books written by men. Did the prophets get everything 100% correct? Was there a influence from Lucifer? Lucifer is and always will be a "son" of God.

Read the Bible but ignore the Satanic Bible or other books of religion?

One sided stories don't really intrest me. What more would a "holy" book teach me that I don't already know?

Truth is, i already know it all about religions.

I see, you lack proper insight and understanding, as well as a basic fundamental understanding of how things really work. It's hilarious how you try to portray me as the close minded one and yet that is exactly what you are.

Ok, smart person.
>>

What you think you know and what actually is, are two complete different things. You disregard the Bible for being written by men, but who inspired your "understanding"? You sarcastically call me smart guy but are blind to the faults in yourself.

>using Lucifer as synonymous with devil
Shows how much you know lol.

it's a reference to revelations 6.
>>9And when the Lamb opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony they had upheld. 10And they cried out in a loud voice, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You avenge our blood and judge those who dwell upon the earth?”

>>11Then each of them was given a white robe and told to rest a little while longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers, were killed, just as they had been killed.

They keep relics of the saints in every altar
