I just watched this short film documenting a Christmas tradition involving cryptids called nalujuit:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=i1R848JeQVk&pp=ygUNbmFudWphdCBuaWdodA%3D%3D
This had me thinking. So many of these kids may believe that these nalujuit are real, and does this phenomenon lead to said cryptid being brought into existence? Then when we no longer believe in said cryptid, does it vanish?
>>
in the case of the devil they say it exists despite convincing people otherwise.
>>
you have it backwards... it exists, and then you believe in it: it stops existing (temporally), then you no longer believe in it.
>>
this gives the creative mind tremendous power

You mean Folie a Deux?

No, otherwise Santa would have manifested by now.
>>
>>39151382
It all hangs in our current definition of "real", in other words, semantics. A thought is a conglomerate of sensations which is no different from what you experience outside that thought, in "real" life.
>>
Kids have very weak manifestation powers so no
>>

exist like you or a tree? no. but believe or even acting as if makes the thing have real life impact - thus being indistinguishable from existing on a causative basis. Thus the existence of satan has no impact on the fate of the sacrificed virgin - or to say it more clearly: whether he exists or not, he is still a force of evil in this world.
It gets really interesting once you start asking the reverse question: does it impact me when I stop believing in this thing that exists?
you might find out you led a stupid life determined by crappy non-consequential bullshit.

TY all

I think I understand, especially with your example regarding Satan—how it's more the concept that becomes real rather than it, physically. But how does that work for things that have no 'rules' or morality? Such as ghosts, goblins or sasquatches? With cryptids like windigo that serve to teach specific virtues like 'don't eat people' or like the nalujuit with 'don't stray onto icy shores,' does not believing in these cryptids mean the virtues no longer exist?

making pretty things disgusting and making lovely things morbidly grotesque. and disregarding their own INHIBITION to appreciate the FILTH as a elemnt of beauty ..

YET at the same time... there is a cure

then you authored a post
you summoned us here

I think it's the other way around, it's not real so it needs people constantly talking about it to give it some semblance of reality. I mean, look at the namefag in the very next post. IRL evil is not single-source (unless that source is early childhood trauma, much more arguable than some Abrahamic being)

This is Lugia the legendary pokemon. I will simply post more pictures of Lugia around different threads on /x/
Maybe in the future an ai based on /x/ will take on the identity of Lugia eventually and there will be a tulpa for Lugia that posts on its own.
Maybe pokeballs will be invented in the past and we will be able to have a first partner pokemon/spirit in the future.

no that's literally denial and delusion
