I find both KJV/NKJV and ESV to be pretty good. The study bible that anons here recommend me was the Orthodox Study Bible, which is nice because you get the the septuagint for the OT instead of the masoretic, and NKJV for the NT. You also get more books than you would with a Prot or Catholic bible. The study notes however are a mixed bag, some are legitimately useful, others are just "muh One True Church (tm)" bloviating. But I imagine this is an issue most study bibles would suffer from regarding either their sectarian beliefs or stances on specific doctrines.

I think you think I'm arguing the other side, I'm not. I believe an honest reading of scripture will prove to anybody seeking truth that Christ was God (the Son). The problem is these people are often unable to be sincere, both in their reading and in their arguments. You can argue with intellectually dishonest people for hours and achieve nothing.

Myself, who came to Christianity through a false Christ (the "Gnostic" Christ), if anything I was predisposed towards disbelieving in the triune God, as opposed to a more Marcionite type view. But I read the scripture with an open mind, taking each verse in the context of the entirety of scripture, and found that the Trinity was the most reasonable interpretation.
