That's only part of the reason why they do that. It's not really about the advertisement, more than it is a fetish in of itself.
Alot of these symbols were fake in the beginning, but they've become real ones because it turns on pedophiles. They really do use these everywhere now.

This is a question that has a bit of an in depth answer.
Many pedophiles have been attempting to "legitimize" their position for a while now. Sometimes they'll use abrahamic religion, sometimes they'll use politics. Sometimes they'll use lgbt shit. Theres no "special" one they use, it's just whatever is popular in public the most typically.
Right now the popular things online are Christianity and LGBT shit. So they justify their actions with that.
Children know these codes because children are frequently targeted online and exposed to these groups. The biggest way they do this is through being a "MAP" and using lgbt language in a way that's appealing to children who are overly invested in identity politics online.
They'll target child populated spaces to do this (tiktok, YouTube, certain fandoms).
Children are then groomed into becoming victims.
Some of it is also straight up just child prostitution and sex trafficking. One adult when I was a kid was trying to get as many kids as they could into Florida. There are kids who will seek these groups out after exposure in order to make money.

This is a difficult question, because the difficulty in discernment is why they do this.
The biggest thing would be to learn how to read peoples behaviour online and off. How are they behaving? Why are they behaving the way they are?
