I’ve lived in Los Angeles for over a year at this point and will jump out of my skin every few days at the sound of what seems to be a bomb going off. Not fireworks, not a car backfiring, not gunfire, ear piercing sounds of an explosion that make me run to the nearest police scanner to ensure there hasn’t been a terrorist attack. I am not schizo, my friends have heard the noises themselves and my sister heard a particularly bombastic one last week when we were on the phone. These noises occur primarily at night but will also happen in the early morning. I’ve heard reports of them happening from downtown all the way to West Hollywood. My pet theory is that it’s caused by DUMBs but curious if you guys have any other theories or have heard the same thing.

People are setting off explosions. That's it. You, no offense, live in a shithole.

I heard these a lot back in late 2020 and early 2021. I live in the mid city area and they weren't those dumb fireworks that set off car alarms.

My building would also make weird noises at night as if the beams and walls were bending.
I couldn't make sense of it and then I reported a Ufo sighing on mufon and for several months my neighbors acted super weird and my life was a living Hell.

Are there actually explosions or just the sounds of explosions?
I've heard the 5G towers can create sound at a distance, by synchronizing the output of multiple towers, creating a superposition of audio from multiple sources.

reckon it has nothing to do with the high concentration of latinos in one very hot area
hispanic lore has tons of paranormal shit in it. If the aztecs had access to gasoline Mexico would look like a crater

>Random explosions
This happen where I live. I found out it was a manufacturer that does explosive welding.

If you heard what I heard you would assume that a car alarm would be set off or there would be a report on ANY police scanner of a disturbance. This isn’t a noise that a cherry bomb could muster nor even a meth lab cum mobile home disaster (and that would certainly make the scanner)

That’s the question- they sound like explosions. I was at the famous Boston false flag and had a flashback the first time I heard whatever is going on. If they are explosions they’re occurring underground.

here's some theories

theory #1: it's some guy named Carlos playing grand theft auto at way too high volumes
theory #2: feds testing experimental aircraft at Ft Mcarthur or wherever
theory #3: motorcycles/drag racers/car enthusiasts
theory #4: old properties getting demolished
theory #5: MS13 doing real life grand theft auto
theory #?: taco truck catastrophe

Can confirm this happens frequently near me (Socal). There's a rock quarry very close by, so my family and I used to assume it was coming from there but something still felt a little odd. They usually occur at night, just like you said. The booms are powerful and set off 1-2 car alarms about a block away when they happen. This one time around 4PM there was a boom so strong it shook the walls of my room and caused my neighbor to walk outside to his patio and say something along the lines of "was that a bomb/are we at war?". Interesting to note that I had seen a thread like this on /pol/ 7-8 months back where an anon and a few others (Americans) were also discussing explosions they have heard near where they live. One time I even contemplated calling the city/police dept. to see if they could explain where exactly those noises are coming from.
