If they wanted to hide from us, it would be as easy as slapping on some lights and playing an engine sound. Not even a half-ass disguise would be needed. You could have had some fly over your house and never known. They have all the plausible deniability, until they decide to do some wack-ass maneuver on camera, and conveniently there would be someone right there calling it a hologram. It would be frighteningly easy to fool most people.
