Good guidance makes it a smoother sailing and provide the subject with an anchor.If someone has a spiritual awakening which is unguided or triggered by events for which they are not prepared then all sorts of ills can start to compound. It seems reasonable that such awakenings could be triggered for people at inopportune moments. It's also reasonable that a people disconnected from good spirits is much more vulnerable to mental suggestions from spiritual sources.
