I have been trying to become delusional on purpose and its fucking impossible. Basically I want to brainwash myself into believing things. Like for example if I could make myself believe that I am cool and adequate then maybe I wont have social anxiety anymore.

So I have been doing basically everything in my power to brainwash myself and nothing is working. My subconscious and shit is too fucking resilient and sees through my lies.

any paranormal ideas?

Read Robert Anton Wilson. This exact exercise is worked up to in Prometheus Rising. I've heard good things about his Illuminatus series too.

Have you tried repeatedly hitting yourself over the head? I used to do this when I was younger and now I am pretty good at being delusional, just not in any positive ways.

No, but I have normal idea.

Get jacked. More muscles means less anxiety

All of us already believe in all sorts of stupid bullshit, just immerse yourself in what you would like to be true, dip yourself in whatever, nothing is truly real, including your beliefs, and it can always all be flipped.

Law of Assumption might be helpful, or manifesting. Seems to be effective for low-stakes, low-impact things.

Basically you say something you want to be in the present tense to yourself over and over again, meditate on it and try to live it presently.

I am confident, I am charismatic, I am brave

I have personally had mixed results. Some good results, and some nothing.

Nice I will check this out

I didnt hit my head but I was slapping my leg with a yard stick to cause pain while chanting at one point

I am pretty resistant to it. For example I grew up in a church and never really believed in god. It takes a lot for me to believe shit

Yeah I have gone down this path. Instead of doing the affirmations its better to try to like make them more concrete actions like "I greet people who make eye contact with me". I too have had mixed results with it.

I am the LOA poster. Have you considered getting into lucid dreaming? I was completely stoic/atheistic for years and I had this random lucid dream completely randomly one morning and it gave me a major heel turn in how I look at the world.

It is much easier to believe any of this spiritual/woowoo/magic stuff when you have experienced stuff akin to it first hand in the dream state. They can be serious business, I'm talking all 5 senses completely crystal clear.
