As someone who had a drug induced psychotic episode who lasted for about a month i have a good idea how it is. In short, your brain is malfunctioning.. not everything you notice, see or hear is "bullshit" though. Your pattern recognition is working pretty well and some things you notice/hallucinate has some amount of truth in it, but it is less spectacular as it seems.

Your mind will notice actual real patterns but your delusions will distort then, you may try learning how to think logically or learning a bit of psychology/neurology and coldly analyze your thoughts, maybe write them over.. but like i said, if your delusions distort them then there is little you can do.

If I were you I would try to read more about the causes of schizophrenia to understand what's happening in the brain. I don't mean you should go to college to become a scientist because that's not what I'm talking about, that wouldn't help you. But I think I would try to understand what these psychologists think the cause is. So I can't help you because I don't understand what schizophrenia is under the surface. Maybe there are some youtube videos/books about this?
