I think that if someone was completely isolated from other people, that there wouldn't be any way for that person to be considered evil. Then we could talk about predisposition of doing evil deeds, without actually doing them, and that's another subject entirely. Can you be evil towards yourself and suffer consequences because of it? Would that express hate towards life, even if it's your own? Are people that self harm evil towards themselves?

I sometimes think that there's a completely different way of measuring evil if you were to take away consequences that other people might feel through your ''evil'' deeds. If you think about how life should be considered a gift, that it is sacred, then likewise you should behave as such. If you live a life of denying yourself joy, if you don't appreciate things in life, if you are actively trying to be negative and unhappy, that could also in my opinion be considered a type of sin towards yourself. The cardinal sins for the most part refer to behavior that could affect others negatively, but you could also say that if you aren't living a life of dignity, if you aren't allowing yourself to appreciate life as it should be lived, then it could also be considered sort of amoral, and maybe even sinful.
