I buy so many /x/ related books, I even picked up a few good 'uns in second hand bookshops but I hardly ever get to read themThis one was particularly good though, and short too it only took me a few days to read, anyone interested in hollow earth ought to read it
>>39343059Classic
>>39343059It’s cool but I’m not sure about the sun crystal at the middle of the earth
I'm glad you asked!>The Arabian Nightmare by Robert IrwinNobody ever reads this when I recommend it but it's occult as fuck and the main character is constantly dealing with lucid dreams (sometimes literally out the nose) into reality. A very very /x/ book.>if you read it, I hope you like it!
>>39343598if you've ever played the banner saga trilogy the story is quite similar
>>39343633when was it written?
>>39345633Sometime in the 80s, I think. Story is in 14th century tho
One of my favorite books of all time.
>>39345774Based. My dad gave me this book when I was a young lad and I loved it and Pollen. I really need to reread it. Can I be your friend?
>>39345876I'd be frens. Nymphomation is really good, I'm sure you would like it.
>>39343059killed the author before he finished the book but it’s still a banger
>>39347217Why are these books always mad expensive on Amazon
>>39347408Is this the holographic universe guy?
>>39348324I don’t know if it’s who you’re thinking of. Bohm talked about an underlying order to reality that our world is an “unfolded” derivation of. Consciousness is fundamental, the rest is derivative.
>>39348488I’ve read work that cites him and really likes what he’s said. I’ll check it out, thanks anon
A Scanner Darkly by Philip K. Dick is the most accurate literary representation of absolute paranoia and psychosis i have ever read. Glowies fuck everyone's life up, even each other's. Tbh it fucked me up a little. Poor Donna, she really wanted to love Arthur. That night in the scramblesuit under the holoscanners while she was disguised as that gross meth-girl was fucking tragic. There is a movie, but don't expect anything. The book is NOT something that could ever be brought to film. Read it and see why, if you feel like it.

>>39349457I've read a few of his books and his writing style is retarded, I dunno how he is so popular
>>39349499what's the tl;dr on this
>>39351544The video is a one hour tl;dr of the man’s life work and legacy. You’re curious enough to ask, you can spend the hour on it.
>>39351544>bohm was a Jewish physicist who was smart enough to work for Oppenheimer and Einstein was going to hire him but he went against the system too much so they black balled him even though they admitted he was right
>>39347374because very few people buy them but these few are schizos willing to pay alot because they will just believe whats in the book without evidence.
>>39347374It’s only $13 brand new on amazon
>>39349457That's my favorite movie bro. It's so tragic
Here's a shitty chart I made with a bunch of obscure recs from a thread a few months ago
>>39350043NTA but because he made some really good settings with interesting stories in them and a side of surprisingly insightful observations.Plus, part of it is the fact that his books are, well, kinda dated, so various modern readers either have to grit their teeth or be the rare breed that still enjoys stuff written in that particular way. Compare with HP Lovecraft who made awesome setting and premise for his various novels but the writing is dated and various plot development so - by now - simply provided and cliche that many find his work overhyped.
>>39352930Holy fuck that's a mess. I mean, some of the books are good but it's some unholy mix of actual occult works, new age shit, fiction with just /x/-themed plot elements, philosophy and psychology, often with very tangible or no connection.Cool if someone wants random titles to read and couldn't find their own, but painful if one wants actual esoteric knowledge.
Oh and also Heinlein's The Moon is a Harsh Mistress is such a nicely written playbook for successful revolution to kick out foreign occupation (while not knowing each other's identity and communicating anonymously), that threads get deleted on /pol/ if you mention the book and describe why it should be read.>not exactly paranormal, but paranormal-adjacent
>>39353353If somebody wants esoteric knowledge, they should stop trying to invent the wheel and learn to start asking the right questions. Here, for example, people should be asking WHERE these resources are compiled and not for random one off recommendations. I would then post the following link so that you could go get your reading and videos and recipes and pictures>>>>/t/1218061
>>39352930Nice list anon
>>39352863$13 is a lot for n m as my of us
>>39352930>Valdamar Valerian>Plotinus>Plato>Iamblichus>Proclus>Evola>ButlerJust because of these, you have earned my upvote. Good picrel, fren.
>>39355823>upvote>ignoring it's often random works often touching upon different things, not anything esotericYou need to go back.
>>39353791X is also a conspiracy board so I think it fits
>>39358117really? I thought it was the twitter screenshots board and coomer tulpa creation zone
>>39358125NTA but there's all kinds of shit here, including valuable insight hidden in random threads about random bullshit where someone just knowledgeable would show up and exchange a post or two from much more sensible perspective before letting the torrent of bullshit posts continue. I did learn some spiritual practices or pursued things/information someone somewhere mentioned a bit which already changed small bits of my life.
Someone from here once recommended me this book, it was a very interesting read
Howdie Mickoski 's Exit the Cave and his recent Awaken the Spark.TL;DR :Soul Trap upon death, recycled back to this suffering pit of hell, but this pit is an illusion, your identity is an illusion too, way to escape is to realize and internalize that it is all illusion.Find the Talk Junkies interview on youtube.
>>39361465I got a book by him about the world’s fairs but it wasn’t very long or well thought out
>>39361465So the way to beat the Archons is to simply do nothing and say no and then do more nothing
>>39363975Beat the archons?Anon, there's nothing to beat. The arcons are factors in this illusionary world. Bosses in a video game or RPG. You are a character in that game, just as much as a factor in that game as the arcons. Way to win is to recognize that it is all illusion, including you. This can be done through any of the classic spiritual paths or just straight classic gnosis. Were there a real struggle, between archons and man how could a man, mortal and almost always given a complete memory wipe in between reincarnations, defeat such forces? Yet there is a struggle. It is the struggle against the claxon call of ego, that roar that covers the whisper of truth- we must become aware of our own illusionary nature and identity so that the awareness behind our consciousness can escape this horror game.
