If you are a Thelemite go Thoth. Yes there is a difference, it seems small at first but really adds up. Little difference in cards do make a difference all added together.

Otherwise I recommend Rider-Waite. There is so much more info, training resources, free resources, lectures, youtube videos etc. Websites.

Often when you start studying you'll find they give like 3 times more Rider Waite info and then might add a little extra something for the Thoth folks.

You can make this up by being extra diligent for sure, so go over the decks imagery several times for each deck, see which one resonates for you. Make a deadline, like a month down the road, to make your decision. It's actually a big decision because after a year or more you might start to get strong insights and see things clicking in amazing ways, but you only slow this process down if you keep switching decks.

If you aren't into thelema there will be things you just won't "get" if you go Thoth.

It's important to note that most decks are based on RW, so starting with RW and then picking up another deck later leaves you in a better position.

Well it seems like while they really your presence and talking with you at the party or entertaining the thoughts or ideas communicating with you in the future, seems like they’re dealing with a lot of personal struggles and feelings and conflicting emotions for them to commit or reach out on their own to make anything happen. I messed up after a warning about my life. I've not improved, I gave up trying to improve some things, and it's getting worse.
Thought I had an issue with my leg, and was doing exercises to help, but stopped after I hurt my knee (pushed too hard), but now think it may have been a stroke (left side weak and losing muscle mass).
Had a bad year last year (but with some good moments), but from OCT onwards it was really bad, had to put my cat down after she had a seizure, stepfather died the day after my mum and he moved house, nanna died a month after that, I had a collapsed lung, nanna's funeral 2 days before christmas day.

I suppose my AQ would be, have I messed up/is it too late?

I do feel I have a karmic debt, and have felt it was all brought on by ME and MY actions, but throughout this I've had the sense that, sometimes it's just that ppersons time. My stepdad had heart issues going back to ~2017, my nanna was 91, my cat was old and had health issues.
