Last battle of Ragnorak: Surtr of the Muspelheim vs Freyr Ingvi.I have been pondering what Muspelheim means for a year now. Directly translated, it means mouse shuttered world. Shuttered as in armored. That's a pretty weird name. Then I noticed this place is full of trolls, which are part of Nordic myths. So I started to think the internet is a mouse shuttered world, like your clicker mouse you use to scroll. Then I noticed Elon buying Twitter and letting people on it made Twitter free speech a Musk-shuttered world. And finally I realized that when we all post here, we're not just anon; we're anonymous. Anonymouse-shuttered. Ingvi's symbol looks pretty similar to a star of david or a masons compass or something. Not really sure on that part. Think it's a spiritual battle about social movements though, like the spirit of the movement lives or dies, not actual people.
>>39576327Bump that's very interesting anon.
This is the Ingwaz rune, associated with Freyr Ingvi.
Loki and later Surtr's sword, Lævateinn, raises questions. It is some kind of metal device which is ablaze and covers the world in fire.Is it the same as Ingvi's missing sword, gambanteinn? Is it related to the biblical leviathan? Loki's son Jormungandr is a giant sea monster which grows large enough to traverse all the way around the earth to find his own tail in front of him. Is Jormungandr the Leviathan, and the Lævateinn? Are the beasts from the earth and the sea leviathan and behemoth? Do they represent the war of Ragnorak, before the gods once more reach peace?
Do you think we'll ever see a wolf eat the sun?
Oh, there's also a world of self sown crops after the big battle, which is like the best possible future of AI going perfectly with humans.

>>39576327Sure, I'll bite.Ragnarok was always going to be multi-dimensional. The internet qualifies as a dimension, sure, but it also describes the people who are participating. The word referring to a "fate of the gods" or a "twilight of the gods" has very specific connotations.Twilight refers to a celestial phenomenon, Fate refers to the Norns and witnessed destiny/prophecy. In each cases it's a matter of alignment (and asymmetry, for that matter). But gods have always required witnesses, that's literally the entire point of religion. The space that they inhabit is external, sure, but it's also internal to the audience. Where is the "sun" if the gods exist eternally in higher realms? Well, one possible interpretation of that luminance is in the hearts and minds of the audience (i.e. humanity and other peoples). So in this case, a twilight of the gods would refer to some kind of tragedy gripping their audience that results in a turbulent spiritual space.Anyway my point is, Ragnarok is only as set as the prophecies made for it, and prophecy has always been a risky and uncertain business, so we'll see. Pretty badass myth cycle though, I'm a fan.

>>39577341>I wonder why Odin didn't view it as something that all the gods could make painless if they faced it together. Their efforts to delay it only made them live in fear for longer. It's a few things.First, prophecies are like prayer wheels when they circulate in the general population. Constantly retelling the myth of the end times is "spinning the prayer wheel" of their mythos, which has practical power generation implications. It's why almost every religion has an "end times," because those are the kind of myth cycles that really enter the heart and the mind. God of War: Ragnarok is badass as hell, for example. The eternal war exists as a means of Glory, even if it never comes to pass.So in that way, fighting it is a victory even in defeat. This is also perhaps intended by the phrase "doom of the gods," as we tend to interpret doom as a negative failing ending but doom can also just mean accounting or inventory. Each god placed against their doom is a type of symbol which grips the heart of the audience, which is the point. And the Aesir were always warlike so it's on brand.
The X symbol has being playing on my mind for the whole of 2024. I've had an obsession with the number 4 for a while now, I connected the dots the past few years on how significant this number is to me. Naturally, this'll bring great spiritual alightment with this website, in which I had been browsing 4 a very long time. Ever think how Fourtunate we are four what we have? Most of us seasoned anons have been here 4 close to 2 decades now. A lot of us programmed as teenagers, learnt the art of memetics from the chaos, anonymity and the "darkness". Look at Pepe the frog, we've all witnessed, and some of us through OC, contributed to his journey. From the feels good man, to the poo poo pee pee /r9k/ to Kek the God of Chaos. A truly real phenomenon of creation built from unfettered chaotic dark communication. Memetics. Now the Frog has an undeniable spritual presence in this modern digital age. Amazing, isn't it? What a few young "incels" "loner" "virgins" "losers" with no "future" can create. Was it a creation though, I ask myself? Or was it something that was already there? Was it "Luck"? That we stumbled upon thus website and came up with all of these spiritual beings and methods of memtic communications that dominate this digital age? What is luck? Why the four leaf clover? Now for some word saladElon buying twitter, renaming it to X. /x/ marks the spot. Double crossed? Who knows what the means.Word salad time, enjoy.Cross. >>39577770Y'know, the problems with prophecies and myths is... you have to perceive everything in totality in order for them to work correctly. >>39576327I uhhhhh....... appreciate the enthusiasm/interest? I agree with the Musk name being related to the Sons of Muspell. I think the Surtr stuff and his army of giants is going to be literal though. Connecting this to christianity, Jesus says that the end of days will be just like the days of Noah. In the days of Noah, the world was ruled by giants who had a reign of terror and violence over the world. The Biblical book of revelation even tells of angels from beneath the earth being unbound from their prison. And the fifth trumpet of revelation tells of what I believe to be an army of UFOs(locusts) flown by men with long hair who would terrorize the earth and be led by one named Abaddon or Apollyon (Destroyer/Destruction). This also describes the Pleiadians or Agarthans that are often spoken of and almost ALWAYS depicted as giants up to 10 feet tall. Greek mythology also tells us that Apollo/Apollyon is the king of the Hyperboreans of the FAR NORTH. And if you believe in inner earth/torus field earth theory you would know that the far north is within the Earth. So I think that this Surtr character will definitely come with his men from within the Earth. So I definitely think all of the Ragnarok stuff is literal. Loki is Satan's army and Odin's army are the resurrected 144,000 in my opinion. Loki and his army on a ship of undead/beasts (Naglfar) lines up with the talk of a red dragon from space acting like a space ship. Notice the threads about skin walkers/werewolves/undead being reawakened by skinwalkers that has been on /x/ a lot recently. Uhhhhhh, I guess as the kids say, two more weeks?

Although I haven't yet gotten into the details of Norse Mythology like I should to weigh in on something like this yet, Odin is something of a patron for me. I have gleaned insights about him that, while some may understand, probably don't grasp on this level. This could be hubris, sure, but I feel confident enough currently to make that claim even if some of you know more in general about this than I do.Odin isn't a deity of War like most insist. This is the wrong takeaway for sure. Did you know many insist that Osiris is the "God of Death"? Well that's not quite true either. See, Osiris is more like the God of overcoming Death, of exiting or existing outside of Samsara. In a similar way, Odin shared a peculiar relationship with Death and although I'm not claiming it's unimportant to his story, he too has a nuanced relationship with it.Instead of being a God of War like many insist, Odin would be better understood as a symbol of Divine Inspiration. Better put, he's a Shamanic guide. His name actually means "Frenzy". He was historically associated with the Fly Agaric. Did you know Siberian Shamans use the Fly Agaric as a Shamanic agent? Odin, therefore, along with his subordinates (like the wolves and ravens which follow him around or those he resurrects to fight in Valhalla), "resists Death" from beyond the mortal world. Odin never really participated in battle. If he did, we transformed into an animal to "ride into battle" with everyone else, but not so much as a participant. He was more like a Warmaster or General, someone who would rouse the troops and help direct them.More next.
>>39592063Odin is supposed to die in Ragnarok, right?Well remember what happens to Dionysus when he "dies"? He gets ripped to bits by the Titans, right? We can extend that atomization to Odin, where he "dies" after hanging from Yggdrasil, only to become a Phoenix of sorts, suddenly able to "read the runes" (an obvious Thoth vibe), and then goes and summons different aspects of himself (his kin and allies) to help with "Ragnarok". What Odin is really doing is he's summoning the different aspects of Self; the 12 Signs, the 12 Knights, the 12 Rowers, the 12 Labors, 12 Apostles and so on. When Odin left Asia Minor, he too was accompanied by 12 Companions.Ragnarok isn't the "end" everyone thinks it is. It's the end of the illusion, the end of Samsara. Odin is the one who runs around and inspires everyone, translating "runes" for them, helping them "wake up", so they can exit Ragnarok and not have to be confined anymore to Samsara. Odin, therefore, is a Psychopomp, just like Osiris or Dionysus - an aid to leverage against Death. Surely most of you here understand how this is Shamanic, how the Fly Agaric and the "Frenzy" is related without me spelling it out.For Jesus and Dionysus, it was spiked wine. For Soma and Odin it was the Fly Agaric. For Osiris, it was the Blue Lotus. This is why Odin runs around and decides who to "take to Valhalla". He's doing Thoth's thing - weighing their souls. Like Osiris, like a Bodhisattva, he's helping others exit Samsara. What this ultimately means, to really cut through all of it, since the Freemasons and their overseers don't want us to peel back the final layer, is emergence of Consciousness. "Seeing", "reading the runes", "overcoming death", all of these are metaphors to novel emergence of Consciousness. Odin suffered all of that self-torture to acquire Consciousness. That's why he had 12 Companions. That's why his story is him "conquering Death". The Tree is Consciousness.
>>39592113I think there's a lot of solid insights here, and thank you for typing this all out. If I may, I think you're a bit too committed to the allegorical ritual of Odin's labor of awakening through crossing over the threshold of Death. Which is, admittedly, an interesting point. The whole Ragnarok cycle could be considered a massive sacrificial arrangement for the sake of opening up the World Tree and having it bloom within the Heart and Mind, and that's why it had to play out precisely the way it did because of the implications of the arrangement precisely. But Yggdrasil is not just a stand-in for Consciousness, it is Axis Mundi, the Place Between Places, the Pivot Point.A lot of new age shit confuses the ability of the mind to manifest and harmonize with the rest of reality for Axis Mundi, the individuated mind as the center of Everything. It's not.Axis Mundi is a very specific thing. And that's where we step from personal enlightenment allegory to discussion of Fate or Destiny. What he's talking about is fundamentally the introduction of the Anti-Prophecy. When you stand at the origin of light, you are blinded, because everything is light and there is no differentiation.Axis Mundi is that, but for Destiny instead. Proximity to it makes Prophecy irrelevant because it is the Wellspring of Prophecy and the All-Seeing Eye cannot turn inwards to perceive itself. That's what Odin is getting at. Using Prophecy to defeat Prophecy is the point of Ragnarokkar, in my reading of it.
>>39576327The wolf has yet to cry into the night as the worm gnaws at the roots of the tree of life.I am not ready.I have not made the 'wolf' cry into the night yet.You are in the final days.I will bring them about.I am not of thee. I am I.
>>39592269>But Yggdrasil is not just a stand-in for Consciousness, it is Axis Mundi, the Place Between Places, the Pivot Point.Yes, sure, I'm taking liberties. The idea is to suspend from the ever-encroaching influence of that pivotal point - where Consciousness emerges.Yggdrasil is therefore an inflection point, where above and below are mirrored. This is the gateway we travel through to steal the Gods' Fire and return through to share it with the rest. Maybe it would have been better stated as such: "The Tree is the gateway to Consciousness."Still, from the Tree springs Knowledge, Everlasting Life and Purity (in intention for example), all features of Consciousness. >Fate or DestinyActually, hanging from the Tree means departing from the Fates, anon. That's sort of the point. You "die", leaving the path laid out before you behind, journeying instead to find your True Will, not the rails the overseers and their pets constructed for us to live as mere slaves - husks.>All-Seeing Eye cannot turn inward to perceive itself.I'm not so sure you have it quite right, anon. After you receive the Eye, the whole point is to use it to examine Self. This is how we differentiate the parts of self, analyze them separately and then rejoin them, reconstructing Self anew. This is actually what happens when we journey Inward - the idea is to commit oneself to the path of Inner Discovery and emerge, as stated before, with the Fire that will warm, enlighten and satiate humanity.>new age shitI'm not so sure this is "new age shit". I think instead that this is a pretty old understanding, if anything.
>>39592285I appreciate your message.>>39592333>I'm not so sure you have it quite right, anon.I understand our differences here and it's fine, you're using it as a mystical self-construction manual and I'm saying it's a weapon blueprint. The narrow sliver of the audience that I'm currently speaking to here understands the utility of what I'm saying. You ever wonder why Odin destroyed one of his own eyes, when he relies so heavily upon vision in his own aspects?Because some things can only be perceived with the absence of vision.

So Freyr is the lord of light elves. Loki frequently deals with dark elves, procuring gifts for his Aesir friends. Once Skirnir goes to the dark elves to have Gleipnir built. I wonder what the cost of Gleipnir was, since the price of the other goods was so high.I wonder what happens to the light and dark elves during Ragnorak.
>>39576327Surtr = Saturn.Saturn's Day = Surtr's DaySaturday = Surtr's Day
So typically, Thor can revive his goats with his hammer, and jotun woman can heal grievous wounds with sorcery, the valkyries can collect the dead and carry them to val Halla, and Odin can raise the dead in Hel with a simple spell. The gods have defeated death. Until one day, Hel says that Baldur cannot come back to life, until after Ragnorak. Of all the jotun, Odin makes no attempt to defeat Hel. Maybe because she is so powerful? She basically flips it so the Aesir can't revive their allies during Ragnorak, while all the jotun that have ever been killed by Aesir are resurrected from Hel. Maybe Odin didn't worry about her because she wasn't prophecied to directly kill any Aesir. Maybe Odin thought reviving all the dead in Hel was a miracle, and that it removed one of the worst fates that any being could have, much like Jesus removes the threat of Hell from men. Unlikely though, since after ragnorak the Eddas specifically state evil men will live in halls where serpents will spray venom at them from the walls. I wonder what his motives were.

>>39599587I agree. Each culture has their own attitude toward money. Christians think having money means a person has very little chance of going to heaven. They have a very bad relationship with money, and make Saturn into their version of the devil. However, the Greeks and Romans thought of Saturn as the god of long term planning, who ruled over the Eleusian Fields, an afterlife for heroes, and the Romans used the temple of Saturn as their treasury. Clearly, the Romans had a much more positive relationship with Saturn. The Greeks initially had a poor relationship with wealth, associating it with Hades, a god and realm of death. However, Hades was later split into Pluto, a god of wealth (because gold is in the ground), and Thanatos, who brought death when it was merciful to do so. In eastern traditions, Vanessa, present in both Japan and India, is a Buddha or otherwise enlightened individual who controls all of the demons of the earth who control earthly wealth, and ensures that blessings of wealth are given to those on holy paths, so that evil does not take control of all wealth in the world.>>39599587
>>39599728>Saturn as moneyTo me, Jupiter has always been a more Industrial and Success related aspect than Saturn's Fertility and Refinement. I like your insights and they're keener than most tend to be around here. Normally, I'd object and be pretty persistent, but you're more informed than usual. Help me out here - what am I missing between Saturn and Jupiter? This is actually somewhat personal, as it sort of alters certain interpretations for me. For instance, understanding Saturn to be a route to resource-based success in place of Jupiter alters my path to routing those resources. My attributes related to Saturn are a bit less obvious or easy to use than those related to Jupiter. I ask because you seem like you'd have more refined insights than most.
>>39599773To me, Saturn has a vibe of being satisfied by having many long term well thought out plans in place, and knowing your future will be good because of those. While with Jupiter, I get the vibe of epic moments, such as a military victory parade, that demonstrate power in the present, that will carry into the future because of their obvious present power. I also get a sense of jovial and happiness in the present moment from Jupiter. I have been mostly interested in Poseidon for my life, so I've been more interested in the rest of them now, especially Pluto for money. After browsing this board for a while, I realized we probably pay more attention to Saturn than any Saturn cult we were investigating, making me realize that we ourselves had become the real Saturn cult.
>>39599958I see. Your insights are fun, anon. Thanks for stopping by.We should probably try to stay on topic, but to briefly give my take:Saturn is certainly more concerned with longer timetables and more robust, overall growth. Jupiter, for me, is what functionally governs Money or the possession of resources. Jupiter is a pathway toward success with resources, but Saturn is more like a pathway toward success in other ways (like our hobbies, our personal goals, our spiritual development and more).
