Anybody ever read or heard of "Fundamentals of Esoteric Knowledge" by Jean Dubuis? Also, any other book recommendations that explain the esoteric without being obscurantist?
Have you read it? Can you explain to me the key points? Please?
>>39591812It's a structured course in esoteric knowledge. The structure of the universe, what certain symbols mean, some meditation exercises, etc.
>>39591801Not specifically as a title but im reasonably familiar with the author. He definitely was a genuine alchemist, although not all his theories were correct. His sources would interest you if you have not read them already, for esoteric works without being so overtly obscure.
He's a great author. Probably worth a read. Take for it what you can, but realize some parts will be his own path and journey, while you have your own path

>>39591801>explain the esotericEsoteric is that which is gained through lived experience. You CANT "explain" the esoteric to those without the requisite lived experience.Just like in boxing, there is esoteric understanding of being in a fight. You can talk about the esoteric info in boxing, but it is simply NOT POSSIBLE to understand the esoteric without being in a professional fight yourself.
>>39591801From all the books I've read and from personal experience (i.e. meditation and other things) the only books who speak directly and truthfully (imho) are the 3 volumes of Introduction to Magic by the Ur Group and some books by Evola, I suggest you read at least the first chapters of Introduction and see if it resonates with youOn Dubois I can say I only read some chapters here and there and he seems a very valid author but this is a very partial opinion>>39596135Very good introductory text on Perennialism, showing the oneness of truth through different lenses (religions/philosophies), less complicated and autistic than my man SchuonnAlso has anyone read Fulcanelli and/or Canseliet? I am reading lately some of their books but I am still not sure
>>39597533Forgot to recommend Mouni Sadhu books on Tarots (very in deep explanations), on Self Realization and Samadhi, one of the best imho, a disciple of the great Sri Ramana MaharishiAnother good author is Kremmerz BUT only the theoric parts, the practical ones are not authentic and should be discarded
Dubuis actually spent hours on practical alchemy, making him more legit than many others on the subject. There are more books, that one book is meant to be an introduction to his whole course, which is supposed to last years. He does lessons on plant alchemy, metal alchemy, and Qabala next. It's actual alchemy in a lab.
