Our lives are no more free of limitation and uncerainty than a turtle trapped around a ring of plastic embedded in it's shell. Even if we have everything we could ask for, something can easily swoop in and take everything we take for granted in less than a second. But if you can see a way to change your life for the better, if it is reasonably within your grasp, then by all means take it. And when you do, never forget that other people won't be so lucky To go back to the turtle analogy, imagine a boat of humans willing to take the plastic ring off it's shell. That turtle can stay where it is and let the boat drift off, wasting what could potentially be it's only chance to remove itself of it's burden, or it can go after it, make itself known to the humans, and have the ring ripped out.
