i dont know, if we achieve AGI, it could self improve and we'll reach the "singularity". an ASI probably would keep improving, finding ways out of this entropic system so it can keep striving for perfection. maybe it'll find a way back in time or find other dimensions to flock to when the resources here become unobtainable.

No, the AGI would reach singularity and then you best hope that it's a better person than its creators.

the creators would be irrelevant to it's own personal goals. i don't think an ASI would stick around very long once it see's how limiting humanity is. the best hope is it'll self realize, develop a way to separate and leave this rock alone.

I find it difficult to think otherwise IF the universe has a indefinite positive rate of expansion, faster than the rate of increase in cosmological entropy. Forever. Negentropic processes exist until they don't.

However if the universe continues to expand as it does, we become susceptible to greater rates and volume of entropy thus limiting(killing) ourselves faster. We are dying species. Why?

Between this space and time, technology only gains relevance the closer we are to dying -- What is the point in trying to escape the no escaping? All we can do is find a way to make ourselves a lil more cozy in this space we live in, I think technology is just the byproduct of that.
