I saw something online a while ago about some conspiracy about corn being subtextually evil. it has been a while since I first saw it but its rung in my mind since.

from what i can kind of remember,
something something its a volatile plant that defines the growth and starvation of civilizations
it has become a core part of our diets through corn syrup
there may be some religious ties to corn that evade me at the moment??
it is to blame for a large amount of methane emissions

other things im forgetting
i need someone to schizo out and tell me more. i cant find the OG and i cant find anybody else talking about it. i am purely curious.

I like this take. Some things just never change. Corn was used for shitty purposes in the beginning and it's used for the same thing now.

The aztecs believed that when the gods made the first humans, they made them out of corn. I also read somewhere that the element of corn is Earth. I think Miguel Serrano said that civilizations that have a founding myth of humans being made out of mud( earth) are from this earth and therefore soulless, but those civilizations with founding myths of a primordial divine couple are Hyperborean. The Fleur De Lis symbol is also very similar to corn, but how can that be corn is from the New World? So many questions man, my head hurts

I fully buy into this.

Maize, as anon pointed out, was worshipped and seen as a giver of life by people in the Americas. It was a critical part of daily life, and it still is to this day.

Humans have propagated corn, fostered it, planted it across the world and fortified it with genetic modifications. We methodologically root out it's plant competitors and defend it with pesticides and nourish it with fertilizer. We spend millions to invest in technology to perfectly water, feed, and grow this single species of plant. Corn syrup in every American's coca cola. Ethanol fuel burned in the air we breathe. Even our chickens, cows, hogs, stuffed with corn based feed before we eat them ourselves.

We are so surrounded by this plant, we do so much to cultivate this plant. And so many of the products of this plant are unhealthy, causing obesity and diabetes and primed to kill us. But we just eat more and grow more. Like those fungi that drive it's host to a advantageous position before letting it die, so it can multiply.

Corn is another one of those things like onions that humans are using against themselves because we are becoming decadent and degenerate, our ancestors never used corn or onions in the destructive manner we have for the last 100-150 years.
