I'm not caught up on any new claims of his but I think he fills a vital and heretofore unfilled role by fusing cultural criticisms with deep historical knowledge. We learn from history and can identify many patterns but it has always felt to me that most people try to discard it, whereas Rudyard embraces it. Really like the guy's work, especially his History102 stuff.
