they really expect you to believe that a bunch of medieval peasants who could barely count built this with no technology.

did aliens do it? demons maybe? it’s obviously not human made
>>
>>39623504
>obviously

Please spell it out, whatever it is that gave you that conclusion.
>>
>>39623504
I don't know the answer, unfortunately, but I do absolutely know this is the right question to br asking right now.
>>
Back then, people believed in God, they ate whole foods with no preservatives or artificial ingredients, they exercised through their manual labor, they had no porn and masturbation was considered a sin worthy of banishment...
and you ask why they were so productive?
>>

This was their technology. Idiot.

>>
>>39623504
Bitch please, this was built (started) in 1248. (and wasn't even done until 1880.)

And trigonometry was invented in 200. BC.
Yes, the average peasant was only half as literate as the average modern American, but this wasn't built by the average peasant. It was built by skilled laborers, directed by mathematicians and educated architects. And the Romans invented the treadmill crane back in 25 BC.

The only thing that's impressive about this is the sheer amount of patience everyone had to work on this thing. That's religious fervor for you though.

Creative architects, master masons and plenty of labororers built cathedrals like these over hundreds of years
>no technology
They had techniques, tools, artesian expertise, and no lack of funding to build something as magnificent as a gothic cathedral. You underestimate what our ancestors were capable of when time and effort were allocated properly into building something to glorify God.

there's also link below, a medieval style castle built with period methods in modern times. If a couple dozen dudes can whack this thing together in a few decades, I don't really have any issue with 100s of laborers being able to build a cathedral in 100 years or so.

have you noticed each day is ever so slightly shorter then the one before?
>>
>>39623587
I don't buy this. It's way to easy to use that as an excuse.
When I was in grade school I remember tracing some cool images and tried to convince the other kids that I actually drew them on my own, saying I just took my time and did it over the course of several months. They believed me...
Then one day I thought I'd actually try to do it that way, and I lost interest after about 10min.

The funny thing is that this still doesn't explain the discrepancy, because nothing is stopping people today from embarking on these multi-generational construction projects? Why is nobody doing it? Why are there none being completed in modern times that started 500yrs ago?
Oh because today we don't have the time right... But in the past they had all the time in the world, right?

This excuse just seems like a way to seep a real mystery under the rug. And it's kind of a simple-minded explanation.
>>
>>39623719

Why would you expect such a thing to exist?

Stone cathedrals, where each piece is custom made rather than prefabricated glorified lego towers of glass and steel. Sagrada Familia comes to mind, construction started in the 1800s and is just nearing completion.

You could ask that exact same question of those people in the past.

But fine, I'll answer you: Nothing.
And that actually supports my position on this. If the answer to that question today is "nothing", then why was the answer to that same question different in the past?

That's my entire point, is that I don't believe people were just agreeing to work on something they knew would not be finished in their lifetime (or there childrens or grandchildrens lifetimes).

If you've ever seen a modern construction site and dealt with the bozos working there you'd be amazed anything gets built in the modern day. You really think Sal and Joe (or Juan) are really much different than laborers from days of yore? Humans don't really change much, we're still just the same apes as we were when we were hunting the wooly mammoth, the only difference is we have flashier toys and more complex ideas and terms for stuff that still also existed 3,000 years ago.

It's not only the question of how they built these, but also why did they even do it? What inspired and motivated them and kept them going? Where did all the artistry in the architecture come from? The Christians of the Millennial reign probably did. After the Lord returned in 70 AD (yes, check your Bibles, it says he would return within the lifetime of the people in front of him), He established his kingdom here on earth for 1000 years, during this time Satan was bound and could not deceive the world, leading to a prosperous time where society was at its peak, almost as wonderful as before the fall of man. During this period, beautiful buildings were made, which are one of the only remaining things from this time.

As for our placement in the timeline? We are either in the little season where Satan has been released after the thousand years have ended, or the entire Bible may have already happened, but I'm leaning towards us being in the little season still, awaiting the White Throne Judgement at the very end of time.
