Come discuss the worship and conjuration of Ishtar, Inanna, Aphrodite, and historically related deities. However you work with the Queen of Heaven and her entourage, you're welcome to discuss here."Appearing in more literary compositions than any other deity, Inanna embodied endless complexities and contradictions: an unbridled goddess at once upholding and destroying the status quo; a passionate goddess engaging in romantic and destructive erotic love; a heavenly goddess who trod the underworld; a feminine goddess who was sometimes portrayed as a bearded warrior; and a mercurial goddess bestowing tender mercies even as she moved freely from one conquest to another.""[Inanna's] cult had to already be widespread before the third millennium in order for it to have the extent and significance it does as soon as we have a clear look at a given period. There are symbolic connections and structures linked to her worship as far back as urban centers go in the near east. There are reasons to think she also supplanted or inherited the role of an older regional 'mother goddess.'"If you're interested in working with the Queen of Heaven, the best things you can do are to start meditating, making offerings, and maybe banishing too. Preferably do all three daily, or at least a few times a week. This will get her attention and improve your ability to communicate with her, as well as generally train your occult abilities. Eventually I'd like to develop a regime focused around historical and revealed techniques from Inanna, with the help of the thread.Pastebin: pastebin.com/SQmZvivkOther recommended resources:Rod and Ring by Samuel DavidLioness: The Song of Inanna by Samuel DavidLiber Astarte, Aleister Crowley's text on worship: sacred-texts.com/oto/lib175.htm/sum/moning Information Page, for learning Goetia if you want to work with Astaroth: pastebin.com/ZHPM0KVzThe Trve Grimoire by JSKtheishtargate.com - on cursory look, this seems like a very good system

>>39634996You're not going to become a god, but the best you can do is adjust your physical form to get closer to her
>>39634996The Nature of the gods is that They are the spiritual Persons behind natural, civil, social, and sometimes paranormal phenomena. The physical ball of gas and atomic fusion, the Sun, has spiritual personalities associated with it that one can interact with Him/Her as a Person! The Earth is such a Person, and She has many names and can interact with us. Her name is Gaia among others! Ishtar is a social goddess. She acquired the Keys to Civilization called MEs from Enki, she is the goddess of War, She's the Queen of Heaven, and She's the goddess of Sex. Some say she's the goddess of the Ladies of Negotiable Affection...Gods are also humans who ritually Step-Up to godhood and then Step-down from it during ritual and at other times. This isn't Possession nor Channeling! It is Something Else! You become the god, you are the god, and then you step down when you're done, you take god's name, and you can do it repeatedly. These people are usually priest/esses. Human 'gods' die, but the god's Essences and Archetypes do not! There can be many who are the same god or are similar gods, thus the God/dess lives. (No, I'm not the originator of this concept)A human Stepping-Up to become a permanent god is called Apotheosis! See Dionysus or George Washington (See the Apotheosis of Washington painting inside the Capitol Dome);~>

>>39633449I don't know that Astaroth and Inanna are exactly the same personage. Probably not honestly. Though there's a clear historical throughline, they exist in the context of their own times and places of origin
>>39636740These threads are always half dead, which is unfortunate because I actually tried to have some spiritual discussion in the last few months but it goes nowhere
>>39636783He's getting at the same sort of idea as the quote "As above so below" references, in that through transfiguring the material, you transfigure the spiritual, and vise versa. There's a similar idea in "mind and body", in that by working on the mental state you can modify the body, and by working on the body you can modify the mind. This could just be the alcohol letting me talk out of my ass though, as I personally only started paying attention to this sort of thing recently beyond a vague "people believe in this sort of thing but I don't"
Praise Ishtar, Praise Inananna
