Phrasing is everything, instead say things like "I renounce those who negatively affect my greatest good as aligned in the true and divine light of loves path". Call for protection in a similar manner, "I call upon those who watch over and guide me as aligned with the true and divine light of loves path to ask for protection against beings wishing to do me harm, thank you thank you thank you". Remember that names and numbers hold lots of importance.
