>What is a tulpa?
A tulpa is an entity created in the mind, acting independently of, and parallel to your own consciousness. They are able to think, and have their own free will, emotions, and memories. In short, a tulpa is like a sentient person living in your head, separate from you. It’s currently unproven whether or not tulpas are truly sentient, but in this community, we treat them as such. It takes time for a tulpa to develop a convincing and complex personality; as they grow older, your attention and their life experiences will shape them into a person with their own hopes, dreams and beliefs. And eventually your tulpa will be able to do more things as it gets stronger.

>How can I make a tulpa?
Just pick a guide that suits you, you don't have to pick from these specific ones but these are pretty good and recommended:

Anyone here familiar with Julian Jaynes? I've spent a lot of time in the past musing on possible connections between bicameralism and tulpamancy, usually ending up concluding that they're fairly different due to the fact that people can have more than one tulpa. But more recently I had an odd sort of eureka moment where I realized that I was already developing something akin to a bicameral god as a kid long before making a tulpa, but it seemed to get integrated into my first tulpa when they were made. So now I'm wondering if it's a kind of situation like, my tulpa is not fully isolated in my non-dominant hemisphere or anything silly like that, but has built off of it to an atypical degree.

Considering creating a tulpa but everyone who has one seems severely retarded so maybe not

You already have tulpa versions of all your family members and every relationship including parasocial ones rip it's over for you

any time you read "consciousness" in jayne, replace it with "theory of mind"

Honestly I think I was already doing that.
