I think in future natural history will be seen as you say for sure. I don't find it to be in vindictive with belief in a higher power and afterlife, and it's a more impressive story in my eyes. The evolution of humanity is not just what has transpired on Earth, it's every event from the big bang, to now. The odds of us being alive are close to impossible, how is that not the most fascinating thing ever?

>>39654914You can achieve similar states of altered consciousness/revelations by dedicated practice in meditation. Psychedelics aren't necessary, they're more like a shortcut, or even cheat code, if you will. I'm not at astral projection levels of meditation practice (at least not consistently), but the overwhelming sense of peace and connectedness to the larger reality that many people experience from psychedelics is 100% achievable through meditation alone.
