I remember waking up on a perfectly normal morning when I was 14, but with a profoundly expanded consciousness and self awareness that was not present before. It's as if that moment when I woke up that day is when my Earthly existence actually started, and not when this body was born. If this is true, what are the implications for the soul that was there previously? Was there one previously, before I arrived?

that depends entirely on what catalyzed you. If you created the path yourself, it was just you increasing your awareness and waking up. Anything you grew would be made by your hands. If, as it were, work was done for you and you simply use that or there is rogue activity in your consciousness then you dun goofd.

You're probably good though. Your higher consciousness can be dazed or active. If it was active all the time your spiritual activity would increase a lot. There's also a lot of influences beyond this world that would prefer you stay in your docile state, so walk-ins will generally just create a lot of apparent depth but the energy will not lead to productive efforts.

Can a 14 year old reasonably create any path himself? My interest in spiritual pursuits began at this point, it was not really there before.

Sounds like the day your schizophrenia started developing, tends to happen around that age

You sound like a completely well adjusted person with no mental defects whatsoever. Who mentioned internal monologues? Seek help, especially the psychiatric kind
