Ive been recently fascinated by reading up about how homo sapiens became cognitively modern 50k years ago, ventured and colonized the planet, and along the way they mixed with 2 other species of humans that were similar enough to have fertile offspring, coexisted with them for about 6000 years which is roughly the same the age as human civilization is from the invention of writing to this moment. It's weird how all other world religions have a similar flood story and messiah's and creation myths, but none ever speak about any point in our time as homo sapiens have we coexisted with two other species just like us.I can't believe that after 40k years that our only species on the planet forgot about them until 200 years ago when we recovered their fossils.

Because a loooot of time passed between non-sapiens human being around and our current religions. The furthest we can go back in terms of myths is the bronze age, anyhting before that it's speculation, and before even that we can just assume.Oral traditions can only spread so far in time, most "ancient" religions are recent, if you take the whole timespan of the human race into consideration.

It makes me feel so accepted and deserving of existence instead of being slaughtered to prevent more people like me from popping up and corrupting the earth.
