I give up. Or, I want to give up. Can't give up yet but gonna in the future. Give up on the search for the true religion. It's so tiresome. I'm gonna let myself drift away into the eternal truth of existence. No rituals, no beliefs, nothing. Just me.. the truth.. and eternity. Do you think this is the right way?
>>39657509"The answer is never the answer. What's really interesting is the mystery. If you seek the mystery instead of the answer, you'll always be seeking. I've never seen anybody really find the answer. They think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer."--Ken Kesey
>>39657509The true religion never died, it just gets rebranded and renamed.Just pray to the moon to sort you or the sorting hat from harry potter to put you in your group.I'm a non-denominational ravenclaw with some highly syncretic beliefs.
>>39657528There is enlightenment.. once you, or rather once I realize it I will know. And I will know it for sure.
>>39657509"Know thyself" is something that takes a long time anyway, it's as good a road as any.The world has more than one path, you don't need to stress about finding the correct one. You choose a path, the path chooses you, and you are transformed by the journeying. Some paths are more positive or negative than others, for sure, but the most important action is to begin.
>>39657534I don't like this. I won't pray to the moon.
>>39657540I figure this is not fully true. If there is one path, then I am walking it. And there is this path. But there can't be more than one path to truth.
>>39657558>But there can't be more than one path to truth.Based on what? Your feelings?
>>39657575It's logical. Only one truth, there are no other truths than "the" truth. So the path must also be just one. "The" path.
>>39657509Life itself is a journey to find spirituality. It’ll take lifetimes to find the true spiritual path. Don’t give up.“For thou art the wisdom’s keeper, The shoreline where truth shall unwind, A truth that in life I am doomed to search, And shall die to find.”
>>39657588If you already think you know what the answer is before you explore the question, then what's the point of seeking?Good luck.
>>39657588Legend has it that there are over a hundred distinct approaches to proving the pythagorean theorem. Some proofs are much simpler and more intuitive than others, but they're all proofs.
>>39657509I too, use this mantra to keep me going. kek.
>>39657614I seek to see reality as it truly is. I don't know what this entails, so I don't know.>>39657619Yeah the truth may be seen through different means.. but the path is one. You can't have differing paths, because truth is only one.
>>39657637What does "path" mean to you? Depending on your starting point, there are many paths you could walk to most places. If the truth is imagined as a place, why should there be only one route there? I suppose it might be accurate to say that it only lies in one direction relative to your personal starting point. Unless you're on a sphere or other unusual shape.
>>39657652Path means: morals, practices, beliefs.
>>39657819Although practices can be different the morals and beliefs must be the same for all who want to find the goal
