I get this feeling from time to time when I'm trying to get to sleep. It's like my brain is on the outside of my head. I feel extremely conscious of where I am. Usually I won't get to sleep for another hour or two after watching some youtube. I have no paranormal experience, so I don't even know if my explanation makes sense.
Has anyone else experienced this? What is it?

I don't really know how to explain something I have said I don't know what it is... I lie there, but instead of my brain turning off I almost feel as though I'm observing myself from a third person perspective. Maybe I feel like for some reason I shouldn't go to sleep? Anyway, thank you for your input.
