question for all of (you):
do you think that will still work?

with how much everyone has been into conspiracy theories lately (this is true with epstein, Israel, dems/republican, etc), do you really think that them waving their hands over a shopped image will make everyone forget?

or is this the new glowie tactic of saying it'll be nothing to make everyone look away before it happens?

Yes, people are dumb and just want someone to say to them it's a nothing burger then they will say "yes that's what I thought this whole time" and move one with their lives. I'm just glad that this will be over and the NASA shills will leave this board.

>>
>>41508580
Don't know what they're up to, but there has to be a reason why all major space agencies have been extremely tight-lipped about the object, it's not just NASA so you can't blame it on the shutdown no matter how hard the glowtards throw that one around. NASA isn't a credible organization and hasn't been for a while, and they know this, so my theory is that they'll post degraded nothingburger shops and they'll use the shills to double down on slandering amateur observers.

you dont think the burden of proof isnt on you walking lobotomies insisting its aliens?
3i atlas does hit the bare minimums for what defines a comet. it is showing characteristics beyond what comets have done in our solar system, but that doesnt mean we immediately go out and label it something different that we dont have a label for yet.

Some of the things its doing could be possibly explained for a comet that never had a chance to graze a star, doing so for the first time in its life span. We literally dont know because we have only studied 3 interstellar objects since we started noticing them. These irregularities doesnt mean we need to immediately jump to them being fucking aliens.

Faggot, I don't know why I need to keep explaining this, but this is the paranormal board, there are some pretty overzealous ET believers in here. You're on the paranormal board bitching about people talking about the paranormal, why is this making you so upset? Who cares what people on here believe this might be? You being here trying to throw a wet blanket on this is highly suspicious, just go somewhere else that isn't known for speculative talk.

>>41509001
No, you tried and failed to deflect, 3i/atlas is misbehaving much more than Oumuamua ever did. If you can't explain the anomalies, then you'll just have to cope with speculation, especially considering this is the paranormal board. This shouldn't be making you upset.
>>
>>41508850
It would have to be a rock for it to be convincing that it's a rock. Since it's not a rock, it's not possible to alter the truth in objective reality.
You're not really asking how to improve your argument, you're simply asking for hints on how to make people submit to authority, which isn't really an argument at all.
If you go forth based on a false premise, then everything that comes after is wrong.

The onus is on the lying institutions and malfeasant authorities to wrest back a crumb of integrity. This is entirely on them to stop lying, hiding behind the smokescreen of zero accountability, and to elect to playing some stupid game with information control for nebulous, ill-defined reasons.
If what you're really asking is how to alchemically transmute a cynical lie into the truth, I think you'll have better luck attempting to squeeze blood from a stone.
>>
>>41509006
Never said it had to be aliens, there are a few of us on here that have fielded other ideas such as a micro black hole. The reason people are calling you a glowtroon is that you're only insisting that this absolutely has to be a normal comet.

no amount of evidence from anyone would convince you, because no matter what is presented you can easily just hide behind "it's a lie"
>The onus is on the lying institutions
how would those "lying institutions" prove themselves to you? it seems like the only way would be to align with your views because anything you agree with is the truth and disagree with is a lie.
>>
how am I supposed to take any of avi loebs "anomalies" seriously?
some of them are like "it arived in our solar system at THIS orientation. when compared to any other orientation its less than a 1% chance!!"

if i picked a random number out of 300, it would be a 0.33% chance
if i kept picking random numbers 4 more times, the odds of whatever sequence of numbers I chose would be so astronomically small, but it still happened. That's why some of these "anomalies" are fucking retarded. Where ever 3i-atlas came from would be a >1% chance of happening when compared to literally any other option.

Well, the people that have access to information that could easily provide a satisfactory rebuttal. Specifically, the ESA and NASA come to mind.
The ESA putting a 75 year long embargo on captured images is damning behavior, per judge of intent, that does not align with nominal behavior if it were just a rock. Deafening silence from others is also an action with reinforces this sense of suspicion.

This isn't even getting into the fact that the numerous anomalies detected from multiple primary sources about this object which invigorate reasonable suspicion that the provided narrative is simply not true, and subsequent acts like the image embargo/gag order.
It would be a rather effortless, rudimentary task to quash these doubts by releasing unredacted information, yet that simply has not occurred, and the observed efforts to conceal cast doubt on the intent being anything but institutional efforts to spin a false narrative whilst hiding behind official trappings of authority.
These demonstrable and undoubtable behaviors by official representatives of this field of study are not something which can be easily walked back or denied, which prompts a slew of other questions about the honesty and credibility of the "rock" narrative.

To hypothesize that it is in fact an alien craft is not unreasonable at this juncture, not only from what one can infer from interpreting the whole host of anomalous traits, but considering the peculiar behavior of those who could potentially offer an adequate counterpoint and evident efforts to deny and conceal.
If not a rock, and not aliens, then what could the reason possibly be for them to act in this manner?
>>
>>41509242
reading being hard for the schizos isnt all that surprising
>>
>>41509140
Because every object that enters the solar system usually comes from the galactic plane that for us is inclined. This object doesn't do that. You need a lot to explain. Something like that happening like it being slingshot by multiple stars and entering exactly into our habitable zone and position of our planets orbiting the sun. It's just something really unlikely to happen.
>>
>>41509239
>sadly they aren't even that common anymore
The reason they aren't common anymore is that it's pretty much impossible to have a discussion about UFOs without the thread being rendered unusable. The only reason this one is going is because it's a current event.

its the fastest object we have recorded in the solar system which could mean exactly what you said or it was ejected from an ancient supernova. there will be unknowns with this object that we just have to accept since its knowledge we just cannot get with our current tools.

However, the absence of facts in the storyline of this object should not just be slotted with "its ayys".
>>
>>41509285
The problem with saying that it's fast because it's a slingshot is that it's the only way we know an object is interestellar because of its speed. How we know something comes from the Oort cloud or not if not for the speed?

Also we discussed the speed before in these thread and light speed is very likely to be dangerous when you enter a star system. You will hit something and won't be pretty. So even an Ayy spaceship should slowdown when entering the Oort cloud.

the first atlas thread ever had posts about how Congress floated that objects from the Oort Cloud coming around the sun could be the real danger
>>
>>41509293
I am unsure if I fully understand the question posed at the end, but with this object being so fast it cant possibly be from the oort cloud because it cannot be held in the solar system. its faster than the escape velocity for our sun.

Other ways we can determine if an object is interstellar or not is by chemical compositions of the object.
3i atlas has at the moment checked both of these

Nah dude that sounds like a flimsy reason which wouldn't prompt such hushed and defensive behavior from institutions dedicated to astronomy.
If it were that benign then I cannot think of a genuine reason to take such a stance. The indignant response to them merely being questioned about it with alternative theories from the official narrative stinks.
From the angle of a meta narrative via analysis of human psychology and game theory of holding power in a scientific field. These people can't explain themselves or their behavior going along with that theory, other than interpreting as them lying to our faces and then becoming upset that the authority which they feel entitled to is being snubbed and disregarded.

A novelty sort of discovery in natural chemistry or materials science prompting hardline denial of open discussion, deliberate withholding of mere photographs without unnatural or artificial origin? The 75 year timespan being put on ESA images is a typical tactic for concealment and swaddling information in red tape. The choice for that sort of stonewalling is explicitly to blockade information in a span of time so anyone alive above infant age during the actual happening of the event will be dead by the time any form of access in the future. Judge of intent in regards to such policy choices implies they have something to hide.

Much of this angle of criticism hinges on the fact that it would not be controversial or panic-inducing in the slightest if what they were saying is true.
I would liken it allegorically to the initial stages of the Chernobyl disaster, where the Soviet government knew they fucked up hard, the potential harm was catastrophic, but were relying on the fact that they could retreat behind stonewalled party line authority to save face and simply lie to avoid consequences.
One can regard both the anomalous nature of traits present in 3i/ATLAS in tandem with institutional and government reaction to what is currently an ongoing event.

In the 60's a physicist theorized a system called a "Klemperer Rosette" which is a stable system of gravitationally bound bodies that are just the right mass and position to occupy eachother's lagrange points, allowing the system to remain bound together while spinning.
Larry Niven used this idea in the Known Space series where a species known as the Puppeteers rearranged their systems' planets/planetoids to escape a collapsing star.

I think what worries me most is that the confidence that they belive they can win. Win in the sense that the censorship and denial can be effective and they can memory whole this as much as possible. As that would imply that nothing is going to happen. Maybe it is aliens but maybe its just going to fly away and all the Gov has to do is silence as much discussion about it until its gone.
The better question was let's say Atlas is not only aliens, its actualualy coming our way or going to do something to earth, do you think the Gov would STILL be trying to cover it up? I mean I guess there's merit in keeping the peace until this supposed event actually occurs but I still think it'd be odd to show so much confidence if they knew some big happening was on its way.

>>
>>41509887

>>
>>41509727
Why are they waiting then?

If it were a mere natural curiosity with novel traits then I would think the prevailing attitude would be intrigued curiosity and excitement over having access to a new natural discovery, not indignant stonewalling of information.
The overt behavior to conceal and withhold data (the ESA 75 yr gag order) combined with their bizarre lack of forthcoming information and their expressive irritated panicked attitude is incredibly suspicious.
Their response to the criticism and demands levied at them is them doubling down on their suspicious behavior. It's reminiscent of someone being caught in a lie and then trying to cover their ass after being caught red handed by acting even more suspicious and untrustworthy.

Just because someone has credentials or inhabits an official position does not preclude or immunize them from being a liar. In fact, it makes such apparent untrustworthy behavior doubly suspicious than if it were a simple layman making such claims. In this sequence of events it's really not a good look at all for any of these people or institutions. Not to mention that amateur astronomers doing their own work with the proper methodology only seem to confirm the hypothesized anomalous, artificial nature of the object.
In light of that as well as the extensively discussed behavior of these institutions and their brusque disregard for being forthcoming, it seems only rational and correct to simply discard the official narrative outright and to scrutinize the authorities ordinarily relied on in such circumstances for an apparent coverup and dereliction of duty.

There's 'something' in the middle, but nobody can claim it's dense or not.
The barycenter of a rosette is gravitationally stable and it would be an ideal spot to run the high energy processes like power generation that generate radiation.

If you had a klemperer rosette-type of formation of small planetoids/moon-sized bodies you could benefit from placing some kind of artificially fused object at the center (like a small artificial star) or even a very small artificial blackhole for added stability, power and other benefits in deep space.
>>
>>41509875
Quite right. The age we live in right now has a certain reliance on the ability to easily censor information, which has informed internal culture and expectations of institutions and people in general.
Easily observable on this website and others, where the deployment of legions of bots and disinformation contractors/agents is well-known. Bizarrely, even this practice is vehemently denied by those whom perpetrate it. It's even public record at this point for bot purges on twitter or information warfare as perpetrated by military psychological warfare divisions (UK's 77th brigade, USAF Eglin units for information warfare, PRC overt censorship, JIDF is a real thing, etc.)
Yet, people are expected to submit unquestioningly to authorities which observably and publicly lie shamelessly and interdict inconvenient truths. It all speaks to a serious degradation of authority, accountability, and trustworthiness. They do not get to demand trust and submission after engaging in such behavior.

It seems as though the expectations by those with access to the complete data which has been gathered is to simply lie to the public with the prevailing habit of routine censorship. One need not even have access to an ironclad alternative to officials if lying, censorship, or withholding of info can be easily observed. Speculation in such a circumstance is inevitable, and from a philosophical and moral perspective, you simply shouldn't listen to people who not only expect you, but command you to not think.
It's one thing to lie openly, it's quite another to demand that people submit to obvious lies.

Has anyone ever really thought about what happens at the atomic/subatomic level if you placed 2 or more strong gravitational fields equidistant around an object? Obviously you'd have to use an object small enough that the gravitational gradient across its entire length was small enough that it didn't 'spaghettify.'

The caveat is that when a gravitational body spins it creates gravitational waves. If you're generating waves from multiple orbiting bodies now you can use phasing and interference to create super high gravity regions in the barycenter.
This could probably generate gravitational fields way more powerful than the bodies alone could produce. You'd just have to tune their rates of rotation.

If it was a black hole, it would be way too small for us to ever see it the actual core.
So dont go into these pictures expecting to see one. Reminder, of earth was squished into a black hole, its size would fit in your hand.

It would also have a more eliptical shape unless we have been viewing its "pole" the whole time. All black holes have an accretion disc, and if this thing being around 5 km in size is more than big enough for us to detect such a shift in magnitude.

>>
>>41510419
For this to be a black hole and not have turned Mars into an extension of the asteroid belt, the actual black hole would have to be stupidly small, but it could still work. But you're right, we wouldn't see anything except accelerated accretion and some possible jets if it got hit by some really energetic particles. It could hold an "atmosphere" and pull other shit along with it, though, the reason stellar mass black holes can't hold a visible atmosphere is because of their size. For a micro black hole, the vast majority of particles wouldn't even come close to the event horizon, let alone fall into it, but the object would still have enough mass to accrue some gas and maybe even some solid or liquid matter.

Yeah i realize my post reads like it alludes to the black hole being small enough to fit in your hand but it would in reality be microscopic. I should have mentioned that the black hole in 3i atlas would be far smaller than an earth mass black hole.
The absolutely insane coma it has with how small the blackhole would be could be an interesting explanation...

A lot of remote viewers kinda have the same conclusion that is alien tech. AKA an AYY probe. Probably why NASA lost their shit thinking it could come for us and they are now just announcing their edited shitty icy rock because they are confident it's going to ignore earth.
>>
>>41510553
I wasn't correcting you, just jumping off what you said. But yeah, the images we got from Ray are showing what looks like ridiculously fast rotation for a comet, and definitely not a once every 16 hours rotation, and it indeed does look like the axis of rotation is pointing in our general direction. Could be atmospheric smearing that we're looking at, but all we can do is keep looking.
>>
the images are literally going to be photoshopped. nasa will anounce that its a new type of comet just discovered. a natural object.

>>41510595
It being forgotten depends on what it really is and how we can see it.
If its just flying away they could probably do a fairly decent memory hole as long as amateurs don't get any pics that say otherwise.
But if its not flying away then its just a temporary cover up until it gets here. Crazy how we still don't have any good confirmation if it is or isn't doing that yet. But I guess that's what the whole is or isn't a rock stuff is for. Because if its not a rock then it can change is trajectory whenever it wants right?

Although it could be a rock.

Since this thing came from Wow signal, have any radio fags been trying to listen or talk to it? Are we too focused on visuals?
>>
>>41510698
And it's only going to get easier for them to push blatant falsehoods with AI, wouldn't be surprised if that's why there's such a rush for it. We're almost to the point where AI can provide plausible deniability for anything they want, not only because of them being able to deepfake anything, but also because they could just claim any evidence against the narrative to be AI fakery and most people would just eat it up. When nobody can tell the difference between what's real and what's not, all they need to do is work on manipulation tactics to lull people into submission.
>>
>>41510730
There's no such thing as real amateur radio astronomy those who do that are just astronomers who already have access to radio telescopes. It's a lot more space and energy demanding and requires a lot of FCC oversight plus analyzing signals is complex due to things like atmospheric attenuation. Ironically the most viable way to do amateur radio astronomy would be to use commercial smallsats and build phased array transmitters on them
>>
>>41510730
There is no radio signals coming from it
Tested already
>>
>>41510734
Couldn't have put it better myself. I will add that I think that "THEY" have had the capability to generate photo-realistic/undiscernable AI videos for a while now, and it is only in the last few years that they have started to be public about it.
>>
>>41510752
BTW I'm talking about transmitting. Receiving is easy you just tune an antenna to the object's frequency provided you know it and this can be done with a small antenna a few feet across

Anyone else not finding it at all odd that NASA is making this big of a show of it?

If it was just a rock, wouldn't an article with an "LOL You Retards, It Was Just a Rock!" headline plus images be enough and call it a day?

My gut isn't liking this. They are up to something.

I'm still holding firm that shit goes sideways between the 21st and 25th.

I'm hoping it isn't the 21st, that's the bad ending. (Posted about it a few generals back)
>>
>>41510267
>>41510291
I'm kicking myself for not saving it but there was a (CIA? FBI?) briefing on 4Chan around 2016 or so that got leaked. They specifically mention "flooding the zone" so to speak with bots, etc. to "render the boards unsuable"
>>
>>41510793
It might be like the other anon said and this is just the elites/NASA holding onto their their strong influence and insisting that their its a rock posts are the absolute mega truth despite the inconsistences and other debunks. If they really go down that EVERYONE ELSE IS WRONG path then I imagine it'll create an even worse problem as everyone will debunk them and it'll attract more attention. They'd need an army of bots and every news outlet to crazily spam this to keep it buried, and some way to deal with every novice astronomer showing contradicting info.

I can't imagine though they're making a big show to try and insist they don't know though. A live stream to show a blur that doesn't really show us anything seems like trying to glorifying nothing, a simple picture of the blur would be enough. But if that's the path they went down it just means shit like Avi is just as equally possible as before and nothing changes. It'd be weird they just hyped the showcase to do nothing.

But the craziest thing would be to admit any kind of doubt or uncertainty. Even an admission of it being an exotic rock would be a bit of a big deal and further fuel alien discussion. In fact it'd make the whole situation gather way more attention as the big science men themselves admit they're stumped. It'd be the first step to disclosure if they were to say that and surely they're avoiding that.

I can't see any way for NASA to walk out of this unscathed.

True that.

Because that's what they are. ZOG. Globohomo. We need a government by the people, for the people. Not talmudic neofeudalism controlling billions of cowards. Chaos would be better. You know the thing about chaos? Chaos is fair.
>>
>>41510793
Articles with photos and data with links to sources of the data would be more than sufficient if they had what they needed to dispel speculation. Which is funny, because I know these astrophysicists with sticks up their asses have gotten their hands on data from their observatories and other instruments, so where the fuck are those naysaying assholes in all of this? All we've gotten so far is shit like passive-aggressive tweeting from Bong Science Man. Absolutely guarantee they'd have the data necessary to show it's just a comet by now, we're doing this thing where we're pretending our tech is still in the 1980s.
>>

I would actually shit my pants. Even a kind of "we aren't sure about this and it looks kind something artificial" would be insane. There'd be no way a tool of the elites would dare even suggest such a thing unless they knew it'd be over soon.
>>
>>41510832
No, it will be closest to Earth (and viewable by most telescopes on the planet) in LATE DEC.

The NASA Orbiter HiRISE photos are being released this week. Those will be the best pics thus far, when it passed closest to Mars in mid-Oct. Everyone's been waiting on those.

It will pass Jupiter in March 2026 and JUICE and other orbiters will get good pics and data then as well.
