And the main highway, Highway 1 TransCanada Highway, is usually just a whole lot of nothing. Passing through barrens, forests, plains, etc with few settlements actually on the stretch of highway >Me and GF driving from Port aux Basques to Corner Brook>2 and a half hours of fuck all in between aside from the scattered small community or a truck stop and motel some distance from each other about half way>Again, about an hour into the drive>Nearest settlement or house would be dozens of kilometers in either direction>Hardly even any cell phone service, it's so far in between areas>Is like 2, maybe 2:30 am>See a glow in the brush off to the side of the road>Wtf>Slow down a little as we approach, look over as we pass>Random fucking guy just standing there in the grass>Instant flashbacks to the spooky dude under the sign>Guy has what looks like a very bright light or a floodlight illuminating him from the ground up>Extra spooped>Floor it and rest of drive is uneventful except almost hitting a coyote in the middle of the highway about an hour later>We still talk about it from time to timeThe fuck is up with these people?
