A thread to discuss the ancient practices of buddhism as a way to escape the wheel of reincarnation and attaining peace.
>>42400807That guy in the image looks like he would throw an attack named "Absolute Palm of the Infinite Palm Trees of Bodisatva shaking heavens from the void" and do it while standing in one feet finger while the other leg is in a meditate stanceAll while shining golden aura and saying some long buddhisy manthra as the attack completly annihilates the demons and enemys of justice from the whole mortal realm and earth, completly separeting the spiritual karma of the innocents that sufferend from the endless slavery of the demon king in that realm once hell.*Breeeeeeeath*Within that he would too make all these actions with a enormous and golden statue of buddha behind him that mimicks his moviment and thus adding triple of its strength since the palm of the True Buddha statue of One Thousand and Nine-Ninity heavens and Heroes will also apply its infinite justice and mercy through the enemys of peace and order, finally as he surpasses the tribulation of the void soverign foundation of heavens and imortals.By finaly achiving true nirvana.
I have a past life as a monk but I have no desire to escape reincarnation. Gimme dat, you don't know what to do with it.

>>42400807I want instructions on walking meditation. Can I do it in a room?
>>42401594if you have space to walk circling 8. every step being as effortless as possible makes the meditation reach deeper states, distractions and bodily strain are the initial obstacles, "am i walking correctly, is my posture right, am i breathing right" they are questions worth exploring before proceeding, this being said it takes months and months to pick up the nuances such as when to slow down when to speed up when to slow down breath when to deepen the breath etc. until you find the optimal pacing, since your body is releasing energy as you do this the intensity of the ebb and flow is changing, you have to match the pacing with this. ordinarily you stop the walking meditation once you are content enough to sit, meaning walking meditation is often used to pacify the body.
>>42400821That's precisely what I want to learn to do. How can I learn to do this?https://youtu.be/DzkhVVFRIIg
>>42400807I started reading the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. It is truly eye opening and I really enjoy reading it. I recommend it

How do you study to understand Buddha's words, anon?
The promises of Buddhism are radical. If all you're after is the alleviation of suffering, consider: trying to achieve enlightenment to end suffering is like using a shotgun to the head to cure a headache.
>>42404662But it gives you far more. Not only can you transcend to godhood, but also you get neat kung fu powers like >>42402093

If enlightened beings teach other sentient beings the dharma, there are two possibilities.1. You have accumulated some merit, to be able to hear the teachings2. You must be profoundly retarded to have the teachings spelled out for you directly.
