I'd appreciate some advice

Start training with points in mind — get on top, stay on top, and don’t give up sweeps. Someone knocks you onto a hip while passing? Immediately get the fuck up to deny them the sweep points. This could win you matches. Have some sort of game plan and stick to it (ie wrestle/guard pull, your best submission or position, your best guard pass)It’s very common to absolutely spaz from the adrenaline and get exhausted. If you can just control your breathing and focus you can beat a lot of people. Try to get a good sweat going before your match, but don’t exhaust yourself. Be sure you know some basic escapes so you don’t waste too much time or energy in a pin

>>214087What belt are youProbably won't want to pull guard because that's harder in no GIGet a take down you're good at like a single legForce into a chest over chest half guard with an underhookPass into side control or mountTry your favorite sub while holding the guy there and you'll be good. Have a super basic game plan of moves you know you can do liveDefinitely don't do what I do and hold the guy in half guard then lose 2-0.
>>214414I'm still a white belt, I've been training since February. I had been training in Muay Thai since September of 2022 but I decided I also wanted to learn some grappling so I could be more well-rounded.I already have a takedown that I almost always land because of my strength, I'm really strong for my weight class and that's what I will be taking advantage of.So yeah that's pretty much it. I'm really good at not getting taken down, many people at my gym have pointed that out so I should be fine against my opponent, as long as I also avoid getting tapped out.
